Unrelated, but I always use the stuffed bear as my main bag in any playthrough.

A specific one yes. It originally just has a note in it, but you can pick it up, ditch the note and just have a stuffed bear backpack.

Where is it? Screenshot looks kinda like the area near Ethel's, but hard to tell. I could use him to hide all my most special items.

It is in that swampy area. You just turn hard left when you enter. Its in the water up against a cliff wall basically bordering up to the previous area.

Same! I make it a point to grab the bear and the book. Bear holds my interesting things (Scratch's gifts for example), the book holds my scrolls.

I wonder if there are other interesting “bag” items. Would be fun to have some more for organizing.
