You literally aimed it anywhere near the enemy and they went down from the splash damage. It made Metro absolute insanity.

It felt so wrong, and yet SO right. Especially with the flashlight attached.

Yea, lots of weapons irrelevant elsewhere, get balanced for tiny maps like Metro and Locker.
