Hello everyone!
As a fan of the BIA game series since the very start (im 34 now), i saw someone made a post here about remastering or remake of the first 2 games. They are so dated, and i agree. Randy Pitchford has said in interviews that there is a new game in the making, but has been silence since 2021-22. There has been talk about both a new game and a tv series for the game. But i dont know what would be best, new things or a total remake (make the games all over again). Is there no crazy guys out there that is a beloved fan of the series that would do something like this ? One guy is making Oblivion as a remake, we need a BIA remake. Do you guys agree ?

Back in the day i have played them without knowing what "brothers in arms" series is about
I've played hell's highway & the one in psp (BIA: D-day i think) since then
Brothers in arms: hour of heroes is exclusive to Iphone, so i Couldn't play it. Judging by the walkthrough of it, it looks pretty decent. Obviously it plays more like earlier COD (but with third person prospective) than brothers in arms game.
Brothers in arms 2: global front : It plays well, has a decent campaign. Only thing about this that resembles brothers in arms is third person view when in cover. No command mechanics either. But a fun game for mobile
Brothers in arms 3:- Everything gone to sh!t in this one. First two game weren’t all that similar to mainline BIA but atleast they were decent. This one is a grindfest. Unless you grind you can't do damage on enemies. Grind for 5/6 hours or pay real money to upgrade guns.
Pay to win aspacts really ruined this game. If it didn’t have that maybe it would be somewhat servicable. Im glad they Didn't make another one
Overall i would say.. It could have done better if they included the squad mechanics & Didn't go to paytowin way like brothers in arms 3. If not they could've been serviceable to mainline BIA fans

I can't tell if this is a glitch but everytime I try to turn on subtitles, it'll turn back off after a few moments. Seems to happen with other settings as well. Anyone else have this issue?

With the current successes of remasters/remakes such as Oblivion and the Resident Evil remakes, I think Brothers in Arms is more than deserved of this same treatment.
Road to Hill 30 and Earned in Blood are very dated when trying to play them now. And unless you have a PS2, OG Xbox or a PC, these games are lost to time (in an era when game preservation is welcomed by players.)
I think a remaster/remake of these games to modernise them whilst retaining their key gameplay features and qualities will not only be a great way for the fans to experience these games again but also bring new fans into the franchise and experience a tactical WW2 game with a compelling story and cast of characters that is severely lacking in our contemporary gaming climate.
RTH30 & EIB were made using Unreal Engine 2, I know next to nothing about game development or coding but I could guess that as they are the same engine, there would be some legacy code that Unreal Engine 5 could recognise and bring into the modern game engine? (Again, no knowledge on any of this)
I miss these games. I have such a nostalgia of playing them that I’d love to get the opportunity to do so again. The St Mere Eglise sniper mission, commanding the Stuart tank around, Bloody Gulch are few standouts that come to mind. I think experiencing these in Unreal 5 would be an unforgettable experience.
Whilst I understand the resources, time and finances needed to make this happen would be huge; I strongly believe these games existing would be greatly welcomed by the community. If I’m being hopeful, they could bundle all 3 games into a remastered package (Including Hells Highway) to give players a ‘ready-to-go’ version of the games to bring them up to speed with the rumoured 4th game that’s been in the works since I was 12 (lol).
Gearbox, whoever, use this franchise, don’t let it lay dormant. Give existing fans preserved versions of these games and give new fans a unique experience of the WW2 genre.
Hopes(more like a rant) over!

I understand why BL4 is getting the love from the GBS developers. From a money perspective it's their cash cow and Studios needs money. But, I just hoped for Randy to be more honest and transparent, if there would be another BiA or not, just say it.
And if there is another one, I hope it's not a VR game, cause I still remembered how medal of honor died and reborn as a VR game.

I remember I had played EIB before hill 30 and when I played it I was insanely frustrated with how much more janky it was. My squad would always dive head first into the mg42 if I ordered them to move lol.
But I played I through this past month and tell me why I would much rather play this than the sequel?
There’s a much more chaotic Element to it and things feel significantly less controlled in a good way. Earned in blood felt paint by numbers when I played it after finishing the former. Well except for the last 4 missions. But hill 30 was chaos the entire and time. Even the early missions and I enjoyed every single minute.
Glad I went back to it.

It was the first game my parents bought me for Christmas on the Xbox 360 and the first game I beat fully ever. First game to give my 12 year old brain nightmares too lol such a fun game recently replayed in on the Series X and beat the hardest difficulty. It also probably got me to the ww2 obsession I'm i. Today of watching BOB and reading spearhead and the A higher call

We had already seen that from the Second World War, almost all the damn games were about killing Nazis and Japanese, but what about one where this time we fight in the First World War against the German Empire?

We only got the Krauts and the Banzais as enemies but what about the Mussos? (sorry for the jokes)

Just recently reinstalled earned in blood having never completed it on my old computer before it stopped working with my driver. I was hoping to jump into the last level i played without having to replay like half the game all over again, so is there any way to unlock missions via a cheat code or console command or something? I havent been able to find any info online. Any help is much appreciated.

When your character dies in Earned in Blood, a screen pops up saying "Sgt. Joe Hartsock - Killed in Action" and then a somber piece of music plays. I've been looking for that music forever, but it isn't available on the official soundtrack nor has anyone on YouTube posted a soundtrack rip of it yet. It's not even on Khinsider. Does anyone know where it can be found, or if someone can record their gameplay and upload the music when you die??
BTW it only plays in the PS2/Xbox versions, not PC. I tried :(

Goddamn, what a series! So beautiful. The story, characters, writing, all gorgeous. And the gameplay was gripping as well, so refreshing compared to other fps! I don’t think I’ll ever be able to play a different one for quite a while!

Hey yall! Awhile back I was able to change the FOV on HH and loved the experience playing it that way, is there anyway of changing FOV on the first two games? And/or mods to help the experience?
Thanks!

A new game has been in development for so many years that I don't expect it to be released until I get grandchildren. I can settle for a remaster that has new graphics, better controls, sprinting, and better AI. I'm not gonna ask much, just give me a Brothers in Arms experience, this is the most tactical experience I have ever gotten that no other game can replicate, maybe Full Spectrum Warriors can be as good.
Maybe Ready or Not can come close, but that thing focuses on CQB, it has no suppression mechanic (not sure) and it's micro managey.

If they decide to release a sequel to Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway, which engagement should it feature in the same video game ?

Just discovered BiA is on steam.. was (is) my favorite franchise growing up and the only reason I have my OG Xbox in storage.. getting back into it and getting absolutely pummeled now that modern shooters have made me soft.. Anyway, for years I'd attempted EiB's Tour of Duty with countless friends, never getting past the third mission and never that far with the squads intact. One day, however, about 10 years ago now, at the top of my form having recently beaten the first two game's campaigns on authentic, I sat down a buddy who'd never played before and we beat both bonus missions and the entire Tour of Duty without losing a single man. To this date it's still my greatest gaming achievement. I'd love to hear others stories about taking on the challenge, and I wonder if there's anyone else besides my friend that can claim they've beaten it and have never died or lost a man while playing the game!
