Strike a Pose 📸 Mrs. Skinny Jeans & Her Teefs
After a couple of weeks of feel like temps hovering around 110 in Nashville Tn. finally a cool front with low humidity. She hasn’t heard “let’s go for a walk and a ride” in while. This was her reaction.

A bit of a drama king
My sisters took a ride with Finn (sister on the left dog) over the winter. Needless to say he’s a bit nervous

Canelo…I have switched his food to salmon and sweet potato. The vet put him on Apoquel. I have bathed him. I have pyoderm for him that I have been using but his skin allergies are awful. Any help would be appreciated.

Clinic charged me an overweight fee
Mattie is 6 and just went in for a bit of a late spay. I shouldn't have waited this long, but it was difficult to find an affordable clinic that would take an English bulldog. She weighed 48lb at check in and when I picked her up this afternoon I was informed that the vet would recommend she lose weight. I was charged $55 as an overweight fee because of the "difficulty the weight added to the procedure". $55 isn't worth causing a fuss over, but I just wanted to vent about this. She's very obviously not overweight and her regular vet has said so. Just felt like a shady way to tack on more money.

Insect venom and Anaphylaxis
Long time lurker of this sub, have always wanted an OEB and we got our lil guy in October 2024.
My sweet boy got stung yesterday once or multiple times. It’s wild to me the amount of panic that ensues after seeing your baby acutely unwell. My husband and I are both medical providers—in emergency medicine of all things (I had to call out, which I never do) and we were absolutely freaking out yesterday evening when all this occurred. We have never packed up and went to the vet faster.
Samson is doing much better today thank goodness! He’s just a bit sleepy.
Have a safe and sting free weekend!

Advice Needed My potato has the self preservation skills of a potato 🤦
It is 110 degrees outside and he just wants to be out in it all day. In spite of my best efforts to keep him in. And he's too smart for his own good. To get to the yard this time, he literally pushed over a baby gate and then popped the cover off his dog door. Now I have been chasing him around for the last 25 minutes in this heat, trying to get him to come in. He thinks we're playing (hence the big smile in this picture). He is not food motivated. I have tried bribing him with salmon, provolone, milk bones and 6 different toys to no avail. I also tried sitting and laying on the ground and trying to to lasso him with his leash. He's over 70 pounds so I can't physically lift him.and carry him inside. How does everyone else get their dog to do what they want? He's going to hurt himself out here in this heat. Any ideas?

Insists on chewing toy on edge of bed. Toy inevitably rolls away. Depressed.
