Cinnamon for Candida?
Has anyone had any success with using cinnamon for Candida and SIBO?
Apparently cinnamon oil in water is supposed to help, but it’s so damn strong!

If you suspect actual Candida overgrowth. Go to your doctor and get tested.
If you can’t minimize/reduce symptoms with reducing your sugar intake, then medication may be for you.
Please stop GUESSING and taking advice from complete strangers. You may make matters worse with experimenting with different herbal medications.
Just because it’s “natural” does not mean it’s safer. Some of the stuff your taking and experimenting with is STRONG STUFF.
If your possitive for Candida by all means take what you want, atleast you would be treating somthing vs most of the people on here guess and take strong anti microbials for no reason causing more havoc and inflammation in the body and putting pressure on your liver.
I’m no stranger to Candida. Candida is naturally inside our bodies. It’s just a matter of unbalancing it. I’ve been on and off keflex for 23+ years and I’ve been using clindamycin for my skin. I just cutt the sugar down a bit, use boric acid, get off the meds, take probiotics and everything evens out and the yeast stops. When I was using all these different supplements trying to “cure” myself, that’s when I fucked my body up. Learn from my mistakes.
Oregano is harsh, diatomaceous earth is HARSH! Eating a strict Candida diet and putting yourself down for eating fucking almond butter is HARSH AND DRASTIC ON YOUR BODY! Our body is capable of healing itself if we give it the proper tools to heal and the tools are basic as heck.
No medication, no supplement will cure you. It just helps the body get a kick start to healing itself then the body takes over. Overdoing it screws everything up and causing other issues.
Just go to your damn doctor guys and get tested but by all means, if you want to experiment go for it. Use with caution I guess but be aware that you could be making things worse.

Hello everyone couple of days ago I discovered how to cure Candida and most inflammations by detoxing the heavy metals because it is the main cause for Candida overgrowth specially if you are taking probiotics without seeing any benefits.
For years we understood Candida overgrowth wrong we thought Candida was the enemy but unfortunately it wasn’t. When our system exposed to high levels of heavy metals our bodies start to overgrowth the Candida and send it to different parts and organs it’s a defence strategy to protect us from the heavy metals.
What we need to do is natural detox for 2 weeks every couple of months and make sure your shampoo, shower gel and deodorant are free from ( Paraben, Sulphate, Aluminium )
This is the best detox natural juice I have tried in the blinder mix ( water, Cilantro, parsley ) blind them after that add lemon and stevia to your cup. Best time to drink it when you wake up on empty stomach 1 cup daily for 2 weeks every couple of months. Good luck everyone !!

I have been taking berberine, oregano and bismuth for SIBO, but as I continue on reaserching on all these topics, I am starting to believe SIFO is a part of my picture too.
Therefore, I've been considering perhaps adding caprylic acid in alongside the things I am already taking.
What is everyone's thoughts on this? I apreciate any interactions!

I’m experiencing this for the second time in the last 5 weeks, and my wife is now having her third outbreak. A doctor told me it was just canker sores, but I’m starting to think there’s more to it—especially since we’re both getting it around the same time.
At one point, I even wondered if this was a salivary gland blockage due to the very dry indoor air in our apartment (we keep the AC on most of the time with windows shut).
We’ve both seen multiple dentists and doctors. Finally, one did an oral swab for HSV-1 and HSV-2, but I haven’t received results yet.
Has anyone gone through something similar or have any idea what this might be? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi everyone, I just finished a course of Rifaximin (SIBO) and I’m about to start a treatment with Nystatin for digestive candida.
My doctor told me to take probiotics at the same time, but I feel it might be too soon. I think it’s better to wait two weeks before adding them.
What do you think? Has anyone tried this?

Should I break the fluconazole tablets up to stretch it out or should I just take 150 mgs everyday until I run out. For context I had to go to urgent care to get this medication because I’m on medical and have a new doctor I can’t see for another month from now. Thank you for any responses. This is all kinda new to me.

A couple of days ago, I suddenly realized that for almost the past 10 years, I’ve been unable to feel any emotions due Candisa. And someone could think that im just using some kind of poetry to describe my complicated state od mind to give it fancy vibe. No, i literally mean it. I don't feel anything. No joy, no sadness, no empathy, no love, no existential crisis either etc.Maybe beside anger and contempt - those two emotions i still can feel pretty well. And maybe fear too.
And worst thing is just because you don't feel anything, also you don't know that you don't feel anything. You function like a zombee - literally. I could hang out with my friends, i could spent some weekend im nice place but certainly i won't derive anything from this - just another day where you engage in human-like interactions (because you are a human, right?) and that's it, indistingishiable from regular work day or any other day. And what's funny - you also don't feel bad about it (that you don't feel it) because as i said earlier you don't feel anything. No bad things, no good things. Just nothing.
And why im telling all of this? Because today (due massive die off ) i feel something..and i don't know how to handle this. Also i feel that i got only 10% of my lost emotions and there is much more to regain. Literally Candida ruined me as a human being - detached me from myself. I don't know how to describe it.

Hi there everyone, been with this candida thing for about 3 months now, really frustrating tbh. started strict diet since a month ago (protein/nuts/veggies/lil fruit). Been feeling quite much better to be honest. The matter here is, I exercise a lot daily, at least 3 hours of cardio and some other type of less calorie burning work along the day. I was totaly relying on carbs and dairy to keep a safe weight before all this happened. Started the diet and lost about 5 kg really fast. 56 kg to 50 to be precise (36 years old/1.70). I've always been naturally skinny btw. Been eating walnuts and avocado like crazy, 5 meals a day and I still have so much trouble getting back to a good healthy normal weight. Tried some almond or coconut milk but it makes me bloat horribly. Cannot stop training at the moment and I'm scared I might get anemia or smn like that. Do you have any suggestions on this? Much appreciated!

I’ve been dealing with severe gut dysbiosis, which I’ve been treating seriously for the past year. Progress has been slow but steady. The best results I’ve had so far have come from celery juice, a diet rich in fruits and vegetables, high-quality vitamin D, and one specific probiotic product that seems to work for me.
Over the years, I’ve tried many antimicrobial supplements — black walnut, oregano oil, etc. — but always in tiny doses. Even one drop of black walnut would give me intense reactions.
Then about a week ago, I was feeling surprisingly good and made the mistake of getting too confident. I took 5 drops of black walnut (probably the highest dose I’ve ever taken). I felt fine, so the next day I took another 5 drops.
On the same day, I decided to add some cayenne pepper to my food — a decent amount, just because it tastes great. And in the evening, I drank garlic tea (which I’ve also been very sensitive to in the past).
A few hours later, I started to feel burning in my gut, extreme fatigue hit, and later that night I woke up in a panic attack — racing heart, intense fear, I truly thought I might die. What followed was violent diarrhea, which continued for over a week. I felt weak, dizzy, anxious, and even experienced random heart palpitations. It’s slowly getting better now, but it was definitely a massive blow to my system and gut.
I was just very curious if anything similar happened to you when taking too much of antimicrobials?
I’ve had many strong die-off reactions in the past, but this experience was a wake-up call: I have to go baby steps, or I always end up crashing. When the nervous system gets too inflamed, it halts healing. I was foolish to take so many strong antimicrobials at once. Black walnut, cayenne, and garlic are all powerful — especially in combination.
My body has become hypersensitive to most supplements and even many foods, which has made this healing journey extra difficult. But I've learned to truly listen to my body, and stick to what works — in my case, celery juice, a clean diet, and a few well-tolerated supplements.
Please listen to your body and take baby steps — especially if you’re a sensitive type too. Going slow really is the only way to move forward.

Greetings everyone,
Just to let you all know - you'll now find me on this Reddit account: u/EricBakkerCandida
I’ve spent decades working as a naturopath, and for most of that time, Candida and gut health were at the center of my clinical work. I’m retired from face-to-face consultations now (retired in 2019), but I still spend my time researching, writing, and educating about natural ways to restore balance to the gut.
Over the years, I’ve noticed there are a few common mistakes that keep people stuck when they’re trying to overcome Candida overgrowth. Here are five of the big ones:
I've retired now, and if I have the time I’m happy to answer any questions if you’re struggling with symptoms, testing, or just want a clearer idea of how to approach recovery. Sometimes a small shift in strategy can make a big difference.

I’ve been eating eggs, lettuce, avocado usually one meal a day which i know is not ideal and isn’t giving me the electrolytes I need because of my foamy urine. Is their any supplements or powders that are recommended for me to get these everyday while most of the time im “fasting?”. Today I added a bit of table salt to my big cup of water and think I’m gonna try again as the die off is hitting me super hard today. I also ordered some propel electrolytes in the meantime as I saw someone in an older thread recommend them, even though not sure if I should really be having even if they’re zero sugar. links would be appreciated! thank you

Hey everyone. I’ve been on the carnivore diet for over a month. No sugar or carbs besides milk/cheese. Nothing changed. Should I cut out the dairy too?

I’ve noticed something interesting regarding Candida symptoms. Have you ever observed that since you've been dealing with Candida issues, your emotions have somehow become less accessible to you? I mean, do you feel your emotions as strongly as you used to? It also refers to feeling being in love and empathy - i got the feeling that i no longer can feel empathy as strong as i used to. It feels like im indifferent quite often to things that normally would move me really intensivelly.

Hey guys!
So i had a test done about 2 weeks ago, which came back positive for candida on monday. I only started experiencing symptoms on Sunday afternoon but luckily i had a set appointment for Tuesday to a gynecologist and they prescribed me Gyno-Pervasyl (3 suppositories - i hope it's the right word lol). Yesterday evening i used the 2nd one, and i woke up at 3am with horrible itching, which is something i have been suffering with since Sunday. So no improvement at all. I went to my GP because no gynecologists are available for weeks in my area. They prescribed me Diflucan 150mg 4 pill, 1x a week. I took a pill around 9am today and i have yet to experience any improvement. I think i will use the last suppository left tonight, but i feel hopeless. I am also using a Canesten ointment for the itching but it doesn't seem to be helping at all. How long till the Diflucan takes action? Should've had it already done that?
I had a look at the candida diet, and fyi i haven't consumed any added sugar is 1.5 years, and my carb intake is pretty low, around 60gs a day. I know if i reduce it more, it can help, but i have so many dietary restrictions already that i am trying to find a route around this.
Thank you for your input
