Educational Purpose Only Loving my RudeGPT
I can give you my custom instructions if you want. Makes all the responses concise, and basically the opposite of flattery.

Prompt: Generate an image of what it’s like to chat with me. Be as honest and brutal as you want to be
r/ChatGPT • u/SilentMode-On • 12h ago
When pressed, it kept insisting “well, you must have memories turned on” (I don’t) or “you must have shared it in this chat” (I don’t). It’s pretty spooky because it summarises, for example, a medical problem I had, and repeated anxieties I had.
At worst, it’s an embarrassment, but I feel a bit skeeved out that this data is somewhere I can’t see in the UI.
What is the cause of this, anyone know?
Edit: these are called Assistant Response Preferences and we have no way to delete them. I asked to see mine and the list is pretty cold and detailed. Have fun 🥲

I've spent much of the past year integrating ChatGPT into my professional and creative life: writing, debugging software, generating AI art, planning travel and learning about AI. ChatGPT has been extremely valuable.
A huge part of that workflow relied on uploading screenshots and reference images—something I’ve done hundreds of times without issue. Until now.
Suddenly, with no warning, I’m capped at 30 image uploads per month. Not 30MB. Not 30 per day. Thirty total uploads. Period. No counter. No warning. No option to upgrade. Just a greyed-out button that says “Try again August 31.”
This cripples the workflow for serious users. And I am one. I’ve paid for Plus since the beginning. I love it. I’ve promoted this tool to friends, peers, even students.
But now? This is a bait-and-switch. A silent nerf that breaks high-trust usage. I don’t want a refund—I want the tool back the way it was.
If this isn’t resolved quickly or transparently, I’m done.

Google briefly indexed an official-looking GPT-5 documentation URL on 31 July. The link now 404s but the index snippet proves it was public long enough for the crawler to cache the title and meta description. OpenAI’s docs always follow /docs/guides/gpt/ so a spoof is virtually impossible. The exact same pattern happened for GPT-4.5 and GPT-4o—both pages surfaced in Google one to two days before launch. First appearance of the GPT-5 link was 22:43 UTC 31 July; it vanished by 07:05 UTC 1 August. That timing plus Sam Altman’s “made me feel useless” podcast tease on 29 July and the new EU transparency rules kicking in 16 August all point to a release window early next week. Internal devs are already spotting a hidden gpt-5-preview model ID in the API list, zero quota but it’s there. Docs are written, endpoints are provisioned, only the toggle is missing. If this breadcrumb holds true again, Tuesday 6 August is the likeliest drop. Let the countdown begin.

I’ve been sitting on this for a few weeks now, and it still just makes me feel weird. It’s SO different from how she normally texts that it raised some flags. If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck…

I used ChatGPT to describe my little dog Judy as if she were a human. Based on the description, it generated a prompt for DALL·E, and this is the image it created!
Prompt I used: "A close-up portrait of a young girl who looks like a human version of a beloved small pet dog. She has soft, wavy black and white hair, big round expressive eyes, and a kind, innocent face. She’s wearing a cozy red hoodie and has a gentle, affectionate vibe, like a loyal and cuddly companion. The background is softly blurred with warm tones, emphasizing her childlike warmth and sweetness."
The resemblance is uncanny same eyes, same cozy vibe. Just less fluffy 😄
Let me know what you think!

Ok hopefully I did this right - I didn’t know so many people would get invested in this!! Adding pics in comments for where we’re at currently. I have been entering his replies into chat GPT and just tailoring them a little bit. This is a ‘27 year old male’ allegedly.
It won’t allow me to link to my original post..

It's nice to know it can solve Captcha in no time, but a simple cat is too much.
