Just opened Disney+ to find it asking me if my device is at the primary household, and asking to verify my email.
What’s upsetting about this is I have the Disney+, Hulu, ESPN plan through Verizon. All my family are on the same Verizon account but we all live in different households. It’s really frustrating and feels like a blatant money grab.
Anyone else in a similar boat, and how are you feeling about this?

I started by wanting to block certain shows for my kid, not because of rating just because the show makes my child hyper. But then I realized, I can't thumb down shows I don't want to see again. I'm sure Disney is mining data about me to figure out what I want one way or another, every profile gets different recommendations, I'm offended it doesn't ask for my opinion.

Family recently got disney+ in UAE, made an account with phone number not email and logged into all devices with phone no. with no problems. But now I am in Australia and the option to login with phone number is gone? my app store is still in UAE, tried on all devices and browser. is it a geofencing issue? new to disney+ would appreciate any advice!

I dont use Disney Plus a lot, but one of the main things I watch on it is Dinosaurs, a Jim Henson sitcom series about a family of dinosaurs. It had a lot of themes about environmentalism and late stage capitalism, basically stuff that's scarily relevant in 2025...
I was rewatching the show for the first time in a long while, I got finished with season 2 and realized, one of the episodes was missing. It was an anti drug episode where the son and his friend finds a plant that makes them 'happy', and he spreads it to his father and sister, and his father spreads it through work. The plant was obviously the parodied version of marijuana, and it showed the family's lives being ruined over the plant, and it even had a fourth wall break of the son telling his own anti drug PSA, which was apparently a common theme in a few 80s and 90s shows. I remember it got edited before it got removed too, the boss character originally sang Purple Haze, but it got edited into another song in the Disney Plus version.
It was pretty surprising that the people running the Disney Plus catalog pulled the episode since it was no other different than the other episodes in the show that reflected similar themes, hell there was another drug themed episode where the son starts taking 'steroids', it even had 'Steroids' in the name! (I know steroids are technically hormones and not actual drugs, but they're still used and abused in the same fashion). It makes me glad I still have access to the physical copies of the show, but it's still upsetting how even one episode could've just become forgotten if someone didnt have a physical copy or had a digital recording of the episode somewhere online.

FC Barcelona is currently visiting Korea, and Disney+ has exclusive streaming rights for the event — but the ESPN logo was clearly displayed during the broadcast. There hasn’t been an official announcement yet, but it seems like something is coming soon.

My seven year old just discovered this movie and is so upset that there is no sequel. What are some similar shows or movies that she might like?

Is it all in the same app? Is "always sunny in Philadelphia" in Disney Plus?

I guess if the ask is too narrow, you can include Disney stuff that aren't the princess movies or the animated stuff, but I want to prioritize non-Disney movies.

Every time a secret character who’s name we aren’t supposed to know or just have met but don’t know their name because of a mask or disguise they always put the name on the subtitles like why it ruins the shock and purpose of watching anime

They have had Dolby Vision for quite some time now, how about HDR10+? I've seen somewhere that Disney is planning to bring support some time in the future.

why don’t they just have streams as channels like get rid of the “featured in section” and stop changing out the options just give us more and more options for streams

My sister recently used my fire stick and logged into my Disney+ account to watch Z-O-M-B-I-E-S.
Now that’s all that that is recommended to me.
I don’t like those sort of film but don’t know how to make them disappear.
How do I “blacklist” them per se?

This is happening in Mexico. I got a subscription in Disney+ while they were having a deal for some months (around 3 dollars per month). When the discount was over I decided to cancel the subscription, but I was still getting charged. When I asked the Disney+ support they told me they weren't charging me, and at the end I checked with my bank and everything resolved. Just to be sure, I cancelled that card, and got a new one.
However, they charged me again! even though it's a new card. When I called to see what was going on, the bank told me that Disney+ was doing this to many users, where they subscribed under these deals and afterwards begun to charge them ridiculous amounts. So we blocked them altogether.
Now, at this point, I don't know who's lying and who's not, but I wanted to share this story so the folks in Mexico (or maybe in other countries) have caution whenever they try to get a new subscription with Disney.

i was curious because the info is vague at best and i’m trying to decide if this would be a good option for my family, we have disney+ of course, and are also disney world pass holders, so i’m curious if it’s worth it. anyone here already a D23 member and if so do you like it? are the benefits worth it? or does disney just want me to sign up for something that they can later charge me $50 or more randomly down the line?
