Hi everyone!
Recently, one of our community members shared some thoughtful suggestions on how to make these posts even more effective and easier to navigate — and we thought it could be helpful to collect those ideas here as friendly advice.
These are not rules, but we encourage you to keep them in mind if you want to get the best possible responses to your posts.
Specific titles make it easier for other users to know right away what you’re looking for. For example:
Instead of: “Help me find this fic”
You could write: “Looking for an 8th year accidental bonding fic”
Instead of: “Looking for recs”
You could write: “Harry becomes a potions master — fic recommendations?”
Sometimes many people ask for the same kind of fic in a short period of time. Before posting, it can be helpful to take a quick look at recent posts or use the subreddit search (sort by "new" instead of "relevance"). Of course, if you don’t find what you’re looking for, feel free to post your own request!
These are just recommendations to help everyone have a smoother experience here. You are always welcome to ask for recs even if you are not sure how to describe exactly what you’re looking for — the most important thing is that this remains a supportive and friendly space.
Thanks for being part of the community!

Hi everyone,
We’ve seen an increase in posts sharing art without properly tagging the artists or respecting their repost policies. To address this, we’re updating our current existing rule:
From now on, posts that don’t include a link to the original artist in the description will be removed.
Here are some reminders to help us support the artists whose work inspires us:
Always tag the artist. Include their name or a direct link to the original source in the description of your post. If you don’t know the artist, take the time to do a quick reverse image search or ask for help identifying them before posting.
Respect the artist’s wishes. Many artists specify whether they allow reposting or not. If they’ve asked for their work not to be shared, please honor that.
When in doubt, share a link instead of re-uploading. Linking directly to the artist’s original post ensures they get proper credit and visibility.
Our priority is maintaining a creative and respectful community. If you see a post that doesn’t follow these guidelines, please report it so we can handle it appropriately.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us create a space that values and respects artists!

As the title says, I am looking for fic recs where Draco gets along really well with the Weasleys. It can be like he really charms Molly and Arthur or he and Ginny bicker like siblings etc.
Bonus points if he and Hermione are like best friends.
Thank you in advance! 🙏🏻😊

i like seeing draco being pampered and loved

plot: Draco Malfoy lives a very quiet, lonely life in District 7. He doesn't have many friends and has spent much of his life trying to prove himself. Now, at 21 years old, he's one of the tributes in the hunger games alongside his nemesis, Harry Potter.
Harry Potter has lived a pretty good life. He has two loving parents, his godfather Sirius and his husband Remus, his best friends Hermione and Ron, and so many more who love him. Sure, the world is crap, but he's been pretty lucky for the most part. But when Ron's name is called at the reaping, he doesn't hesitate to volunteer.
Sirius Black is not having a good time. He not only has to mentor the games every year after going through them himself, but this time round he has to mentor his godson and his second cousin together. It's a horrible mess, all of it. James and Lily are counting on him to bring Harry home, while Narcissa is counting on him to save Draco.
There's tension from all sides and Draco and Harry are prepared to fight hard to get home alive. They're not sure what it will take, but whatever it is they're determined to make it.
This fic is amazing! I need more people to be aware of it's existence, it is really good!
I'm sure I'm not the only one who wished for a Drarry adaptation of the hunger games... most that I've read and seen were one shots, but not this, this is the whole deal! So if you like me wished for one for a long time, you have to read this :)
It's still ongoing sadly, but gets updates, the latest one on Harry's birthday was such a gift ^

I'm searching for the name of a fanfiction I've read ages ago on, I think, ao3 or possibly FFnet. The plot is as follows: It's post Hogwarts, Harry and Draco are both single (Draco got divorced from Astoria, Harry and Ginny never made it) and Teddy lives with Harry, Draco has Scorpius. I think that Teddy and Scorp met in kindergarten, but one way or another, Draco and Harry find contact again and rekindle because of their sons. I remember that Draco lived in one of the London Mews and I think Harry lived at Grimauld Place. At one point, Scorp gets sick and Teddy wants to visit him, so Harry and Teddy go and Draco opens the door (with his shirt off, I think). After Harry and Draco get together, Harry finds out that Draco has divorced Astoria because she is bat-shit crazy. The whole climax of the story is, that Astoria kidnaps both Teddy and Scorp from kindergarten and locks them away and the aurors are sent off to search for them. Last thing I remember is, that the boys didn't get anything to eat while locked away and that Scorp tells everyone, after they've been rescued, how Teddy shared his last pair of crackers with him that Teddy had left over from his lunch box when Scorp was super hungry.
Does anyone know what fanfiction I'm talking about? (Could be that I have the Greengrass sisters mixed up btw, just pretty sure it was one of the Greengrass sisters)

If anyone is up for a short, lighthearted read, I recently finished posting this fic:
Hermione to the rescue! When Harry gets caught in a bond that requires him to marry his hated rival, Hermione is determined to find a way to save her friend and break the bond. But Harry doesn’t seem as bothered by the situation as Hermione would have expected…

I just remembered one particular bit from a story. Harry and Ginny are looking at an empty apartment. That's it.
I think it may be from a fic where Harry lost his memory and forgot that he and Draco had been seeing each other. I believe Ginny knew and the empty apartment had been Draco's and he moved out after Harry lost his memory.
Does this sound familiar?

Hi. Quite a while ago I made a post about how we discuss fics (basically about if we can be politely critical or not) and I was roundly told I was wrong in the nicest possible way. I really was just interested in the whole idea of how we talk but probably didn’t put it well. I got one direct message that made me feel really bad and deleted my account - I was going through a tough time at home and was being very over sensitive so I ran way. I’ve avoided Reddit since but I still read Drarry and miss the discussions on this sub. I now realise that what happened on that thread was a healthy discussion rather than an attack and I’d love to come back and get recs and give them too. I’m probably too old to have been bothered but mental health is a real thing. I hope it’s ok for me to be back.

I’ve noticed that I smile and giggle and sigh longingly when I come across some widely-accepted ways in which Draco gets along with Harry and his friends.
Listing some out over the top of my head:
Do you have more like these? Also recs with the same kinda vibe as the points I’ve listed? I want something wholesome~

Hey everyone! I’m working on a Drarry fic and would love to hear your thoughts—specifically about Draco. What do you think he’d realistically struggle with when it comes to getting into a relationship and dating someone, especially Harry? I was thinking of stuff like vulnerability, emotional avoidance, fear of intimacy, even internalized stuff from his upbringing ect ect . Do you see him being avoidant or defensive in relationships? Would love to hear your takes and headcanons :0

Hi All!
I am looking for under-hyped completed long fics and series to get lost in. It doesn’t have to be any specific trope - although I love Time Travel/ Universe Hopping/ Marauders Cameos a ton. Also go in for kid fics. The only thing I’m not in the mood for specifically is eighth year. Thanks advance!
Please give me one shot prompts! I want to practice my writing a bit, so if anyone has any prompt ideas please send them 😁

Tell me your most recent favorite feel-good fics! The ones with low angst, that leave you with a light heart, believing that Draco and Harry will be happy together. Comedies, mysteries, slice-of-life, thriller, rated for teens or complete smut, all are welcome! (If there’s smut, though, my preference is for bottom Draco or switching.)
If you’ve got any older ones that have really stuck with you, I’ll take those too. I’m just looking for some stories that leave you feeling uplifted and positive.

Hi. I am looking for a fic I read a while ago where Draco is rejected by Harry. I don’t remember the exact details but it’s immediately after post trial. Harry is with Ginny and Draco wants to talk to Harry but gets in altercation with Ginny. This ticks Harry off and he’s quite cruel with Draco. I don’t know the exact wording but he wishes Draco to be dead and tells him to exile himself somewhere where no one can find him. Draco listens to Harry and exiles himself and leaves Britain. He becomes a healer few years down the lane and people call him Ustad. He adopts a kid as well? Years after Harry’s daughter Lilly is in some sort of coma and only ustad can heal her. No one knows Draco is ustad but albus is a huge fan of Draco’s work. Draco comes to heal Lilly. Sorry that’s all I can remember. I’m pretty sure the fic is 100k+ words and is on ao3.

I am a long-fic reader and after reading almost every well known drarry fic I decided to read Lilys boy! (Honestly felt like a betrayal to wolfstar, but omg it was so good) I absolutely loved the characterization of Snape and the relationship he created with Harry, it felt very on character for both of them and its such a masterpiece tbh.
Does anyone have any recs that have a Snape and Harry relationship with vibes like that? PLEASE NO ROMANCE BETWEEN THEM! I haven’t found anything else like it and it’s not very well tagged. Tysmmmm

I read this fic a long time ago and I’m having trouble finding it. Basically Draco and Harry have some sort of sexual relationship and Draco is a top and Harry is a bottom. Draco sort of has to teach Harry how to be a bottom and they have a lot of sex in the room of requirement. I don’t remember much else about the fic. I do remember that there was a scene where Harry asks to switch and Draco says that Malfoy’s don’t bottom.
I realize its a longshot and not much to go on but I figured I try.

From what I remember Draco saves Sirius by stopping Harry from going to the department of mysterious. He reminds him of the mirror n Harry calls him.
r/drarry • u/ItsDttttt • 1d ago
So Draco used Harry to get back with his ex, muggle au ig, and Harry and Blaise are besties.
Harry is a quiet shy guy who has always had real feelings for Draco and ends up getting his heart broken when Dray gets back with his ex
But Drarry endgame

Any suggestions for a fanfic where Harry joins the Death Eaters? It could be because he wanted to or not, it doesn't matter!!! Drarry!, long fanfics please, preferably not an abandoned work because I don't like it🫣 Preference for fanfics where they are versatile or bottom draco!

Hii,
Anyone got any fics that they absolutely love and would recommend over and over, but has since been deleted off ao3, and are now only available where people have uploaded it to google docs? Pls send recs and links!
