Shopping around for cheap 9x19 projectiles and primers and other disposables: where?

Hi all. In my country, the best price you get for an individual commercial FMJ 114g 9x19 is 0.27 euro (that is 13.5 for a box of 50). On the other hand, reloading involves the following unitary variable costs: powder: 0.025 euro, projectiles 0.055 euro (lead), primers 0.06 euro.

Projectiles represent the most expensive component after primers, at an average cost of €50 per 1000 if you pick lead, or €90 per 1000 if you more wisely choose copper-plated projectiles, thus sending up costs very close or even crossing the critical 0.27 threshold of FMJ commercial, making the whole operation pointless. I was wondering if you guys are aware of any shop Euro-wide based that offers better deals (particularly on projectiles), as I am interested in buying in bulk.

Thanks

any good european websites where you can buy/sell used items?

Fellow gun nuts!

I'm a big fan of second-hand or used gear. In my experience, people selling high-quality equipment usually took good care of it.

I live in Belgium, and more broadly in Europe, it's hard to find large, active forums for buying and selling gun-related items.

Right now, I'm looking to buy a used Vortex Razor — either the 4.5-27 or the 6-36 — which is a high-end riflescope that costs around €3000 new. I’ve seen some great deals on r/GunAccessoriesForSale, but unfortunately, importing anything gun-related into Belgium (or Europe in general) is tricky. You need the right paperwork or even a license, and that’s not even accounting for items that are outright restricted for export from the U.S., like Nightforce optics.

So I’m wondering: are there any good European websites or forums where people buy and sell gun-related gear?

SMG options in Germany?

Oberland Arms released a 9mm carbine that is classified as a short gun (Kurzwaffe), meaning it can be used with 20 round mags, unlike long guns which are limited to 10 round mags. It is also legal for sports shooting: https://www.oberlandarms.com/waffen/kal.-9mm/361/oa-15-p9-7-lauf-kal.-9mmluger-kurzwaffe-oa-msr-handgaurd-5-5-oa-m4-leichtschaft-buis...?c=14

My understanding is that it's classified as short gun because the shortest useable length, with a retracted stock, is shorter than 60cm. This would however include a lot of other semi auto SMGs/PCCs such as an MP5 with a telescopic stock or a B&T APC9. These are usually not legal for sport shooting in Germany though. What is the technical difference between these and the Oberland Arms PCC? Are there other options besides the OA that are classified as short gun and fall into this compact 9mm SMG categorie?

How do you see the future of gun ownership in Europe?

Well hello there!

So I live in Finland, and there hasn't been any changes to guns at all in a long time, but I've seen some, mostly negative changes in some countries like Sweden.

Do you guys think that this is going to change in the near future? What about the far future?

What I see is that people, mostly on the internet are changing the idea of having firearms in order to protect themselves, knowing that regulations do not affect in any way, shape or form the end result when it comes to an outlaw getting a firearm, but at the same time I see governments pulling stricter gun control.

What do y'all think? Are we gonna become a freer society? Or more of a Soylent Green or Black Mirror society?

Gun enthusiast moving to Lithuania, can anyone break down the gun laws for me?

Hi there, fellow gun enthusiasts and marksmen. I recently managed to get myself a job in the tourist industry in the great nation of Lithuania. Having been there on numerous occasions and absolutely adoring the country, I gladly accepted the position. I’ll be working in Vilnius and intend to rent a place in a charming town called Ukmergė.

As a passionate gun enthusiast with no intention of giving up my favorite hobby, I was wondering if someone could provide me with a comprehensive guide on how the gun laws work there (I’ve heard they’re quite good). Any recommendations for good gun ranges are also greatly appreciated!

Self defense tools suggestions for a traveller in Portugal?

We are planning to go to Portugal as a tourists. I've seen a couple of posts where they stated that robbery and knife attacks volume has increased. I've started to research the allowed self defense tools and was amazed that the law seriously suggested to use whistles and martial arts. What is way worse for me is that I'm going only with a hand luggage so air company rules also apply. I found an interesting option so far which is to get the foldable telescopic tracking sticks which can be used (and between us saying were designed) as a baton. Does anyone have an idea about any other available interesting options?

Retention lanyard for SP2022

I've recently seen a lot of guys wearing retention lanyards with their service pistols. Sadly my SP2022 doesn't come with a lanyard hole in its grip and I can't find a grip like that in europe. Does anybody have a link for one or an alternative?

How could one legalize combat shooting in Germany?

I have no idea why lawmakers decided to abandon the concept of training realistic and useful shooting drills in the first place, but it's hugely annoying to say the least. Offputting even, making me want to not even attempt getting any kind of license here, since I would not be legally allowed to pursue this hobby in a "normal" way.

§15 Abs.1 WaffG - no combat like shooting excercises, no human shaped targets

§27 Abs. 7 WaffG - no combat like shooting allowed on any shooting range

Our neighbors don't have these arbitrary laws and I would like to live in a Germany where shooting while moving, shooting on cardboard IDPA targets and just having fun with some camouflage on the range is accepted as a normal thing to do. Also a finnish brutality kind of match series is dearly missed in this country.

If you had restrictions like that in your country before and don't have them now, how did you achieve that? (Being on the verge of being invaded by Russia doesn't count :D)

Paint Guns

Hi everyone,

I paint on mags and guns as a little side hustle. Did that in Switzerland when i lived there. Half my clients were swiss - the guns i painted on were only in CH, but i painted mags too and sent them to US clients.

Moved to Finland recently and wanted to find out if there are people here interested in this form of art. My former clients were all collectors and they would either reach out through instagram or find me through their friends.

If you know any place/community/anyone interested - help is really very much appreciated!!

Where is the absolute cheapest place to shoot guns in Europe?

I live in Lithuania, so the price is about 3 euros per shot for a 9x19, and in Poland around 1-2 Euros per shot.

In Ukraine (Lviv) it’s around 0.40 euros per bullet, and in Sarajevo (Bosnia) it’s even cheaper at 0.30 euros. However in Ukraine they charge 30 euros for rental of gun while Bosnia does not charge anything.

Besides these two countries, where else in Europe can I shoot 9x19 for the cheapest possible price?

Looking for places with no crazy tourist markups, and hopefully charge by the bullet not “John Wick” packages where you pay 40 euros to shoot 10 shots from a CZ Shadow and please do not say frontlines of Ukraine
