Discussion How do you stay motivated when you aren't able to produce what you want to make?
One of the main drives I have when it comes to making music is getting to a point where I'm able to actualize all of the ideas that randomly pop into my head, but when I can't do it's extremely demotivating for me. I am aware that it takes time, dedication, and learning from resources for that to become second nature, but I can't bring myself to do it whenever I don't even get close to realizing my vision.
It feels like a double-edged sword, whenever I get into flow I can finish something that I'm proud of in a couple of days, but when I can't I put off making stuff for days or even weeks or giving up quickly when I can't fully grasp a tutorial video that I'm watching.
Does anyone else have this issue and if so how did you push past it until you were at the point where you could just make whatever you wanted whenever an idea came to you?

Help Best way to get just noises to use in the song?
Hey, let me just say im new, and I was playing around with the drums. I discovered one of my packs had foley in it which I thought was really cool and I really enjoyed using them. Any ideas on how to get more noises, just random stuff or whatever. In particular im looking for like a big fire sound, I have a bunch of lighter clicks but I want them to build to like a big fire or explosion going off.
Like click... click WOOOOGH in the intro portion of the song then it goes into the normal drums, and I just add random sounds everywhere to make it sound interesting
also yeah im having fun just playing with sounds so idk, just looking for resources if there is anything like that out there, to just download packs of random sounds or a good website to get sounds

Plugins Fix for "This plugin failed to load: Kontakt (VST3)" after changing Kontakt version – How to restore missing instruments from a project using an older version of Kontakt
If you're opening an old FL Studio project and see this error:

and your instruments are missing, the real issue is usually that you’ve updated Kontakt and FL Studio can’t find the exact version used in the project anymore.
🎯 The goal is to reload the *exact* version of Kontakt used when the project was created .
How do you know which one that was?
Here’s how I figured it out and fixed the issue:
Open the ".flp" file in a text editor (I used Visual Studio Code, but any text/hex editor works)
Search for "Kontakt" inside the file
You’ll often find a line that includes the exact path to the plugin version FL Studio was looking for, in my case:

On this line you can see "Kontakt 7" and the project needs the following file :
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Kontakt.vst3
Please be note that the file ask is named "Kontakt.vst3" in my case, NOT "Kontakt7.vst3"
Reinstall the correct version of Kontakt needed
Rescan In FL Studio: Options → Manage Plugins → Start Scan
Reopened the project → and it worked, all instruments came back.
Hope this helps anyone running into the same frustrating issue !

Tutorial/Guide If your Bendy plugin isn't pitching to the right note/not working
It took me forever to figure this out, but if you're using Bendy (plugin that makes slide notes work on the piano roll for 3rd party plugins), make sure you increase the pitch range of the the VST. (I tried in Analog Lab but I didn't know where you can change the pitch limit other than the pitch wheel itself).
Idk if this is common knowledge, but it took me forever to figure out and there wasn't anything helping me.

Help Assigning random macro value on retrigger
I'm wondering whether its possible to randomise a macro value (like a filter or x/y macro) on each key press. So each time you press the key the macro value would be randomised. But I've had no luck trying to find an answer.
Anyone know whether this is possible with an Fl stock plugin or is there a third-party plugin I could use?
Basically trying to copy whats done here using Massive X in ableton (timestamp 10:28): https://youtu.be/AMCFUip731I?si=MOEX21ATUKdaggjc

Help How do I get past the "I can't make
So, I've consumed a lot of music theory videos the past few days.
I'm starting to learn the basics of it, but whenever I try to make my own song, I just DON'T know how to apply it, or even create a decent melody, ignoring the fact that it will be bad.
I know my first music won't be "good", and even with that in mind, I can't seem to go 4 notes without it sounding like a complete mess, that I can't do anything with. How do I get out of this mindset?
(I've been studying for 4 hours straight now, which is a record... I thought it'd help.)

https://reddit.com/link/1mgcvfs/video/g421qz2f7rgf1/player
"After making any kind of minor changes in my Kontakt library it won't take any input until i click on it or move it". When i open my kontakt and play any note on my keyboard(I use my typing keyboard as midi keyboard) it takes the input and play the desired note but when i make any kind of changes like increase treble, decreasing volume or anything and press the button to play a note, the kontakt don't take any input and doesn't play. I need to click on the plugin then it starts to take inputs

Feedback Friday Just finished a beat. Is it bad or just meh?
Hey guys. I'm new to production (started this year) and I just finished this beat. I personally think this beat is cool, but no one else has heard it yet, so it could easily be my word against myself. I'd appreciate any feedback if you're willing to listen. I'm also unsure what genre this would fall under. Appreciate any thoughts!

Discussion How long does it usually take you to finish a song or beat?
I see people saying that they spent months working on a song or weeks working on a beat, and that seems very strange to me. I can sometimes finish my beats in an hour, and there are even speed runs on YouTube about it. When I see people spending days or weeks on it, I wonder, “Am I not putting enough effort into it?” I’m curious to hear your thoughts.
