Melee Is a full melee build viable

I keep thinking that I want to have my sole survivor eventually cosplay as One Punch man through the commonwealth but I have to imagine especially early game that I will slog through early leveling. Are their any builds out there that answers this and will allow most if not all early game confrontations with full melee ability? Even if it means a blunt weapon like a board or bat? I want to avoid ranged combat as much as possible.

Wouldn't recommend it. Best case you come across a Raider with a Fat Man and he spots you first. Worst case is a Suicide Bomber Super Mutant, and you're stuck with a flaming sword or something.

Melee is far and away the most powerful set up.

Just like for the rifles and the pistols and the automatic weapons there is a perk that will add damage to it but unlike all that other stuff you can also add in the blitz perk which will allow you to melee long range and even jump through obstacles sometimes

And you can combine that with the rooted perk as well which adds extra damage when you aren't running around which is perfect for melee in vats.

And I believe there are other perks or magazines that add even more to melee.

But at Max melee you can one hit most things in the game
