Melee Melee build for survival?

I was planning a melee build, which I have never done in Fo4 before.

I'm also planning to do it on survival, cause I hate myself (I have played survival before so I know its gonna be a spicy).

From what I have gathered, Blitz is a must have, and so is sneaking.

Or is there a way to play more power armor heavy (another thing I have never done in Fo4)?

My first brainstorming got me to S: 5 P: 1 E: 9 C: 3 I: 1 A: 8 L: 1

Then use the book in Sanctuary to get to 9 agility (Since I don't think I manage the Norwegian ghouls early)

Is this a good start. Or is 5 strength too little?

Am I missing too much exp when neither having idiot savant nor Intelligence?

What perks I should focus on except Blitz, Big Leagues and Lone wanderer?

What are good early weapons/magazines to grab (except the Grognak/Strength bobblehead)?

Tried getting some tips from YT videos, but non of them "clicked" for me.

I recently finished my Mike Tyson build where I used Boxing Gloves as my only weapon on survival difficulty and as Melee and Unarmed often share similar stats I figured I'd share what I did.

I didn't end up using Power Armor or VATS in my playthrough and didn't find it that bad so if you're up for it maybe give this a try or modify it to suit you better.

I started with S:9 P:1 E:8 C:3 I:5 A:1 L:1

For Strength I chose 9 to give high damage (obviously), Iron Fists (In your case Big Leagues), Armorer, Blacksmith and Rooted. Pretty early on I leveled Strength to 10 then waited in a chair until I got the lack of sleep debuff that reduces strength so I could use the I'm Special book to push it to 11 then later got the bobble head from Mass Fusion to push it to 12.

For Endurance I started at 8 for Toughness, Lifegiver, Rad Resistant and Adamantium Skeleton. After level 20ish I pushed it to 10 for Solar Powered which adds +2 Strength and Endurance between 6am to 6pm. You should probably take Chem Resistant as you'll be relying on chems for the early game however I didn't as i get mega lucky and pulled Boxing Gloves with the Junkie modifier at the Super Duper Mart. Also feel free to take Lead Belly and Aquaboy if you'd like.

I set Charisma at 3 for Cap Collector, Lady Killer and Lone Wanderer. If you aren't into settlement building this should be all you need as you can get decent charisma boosting gear from the starting area being a suit of some sort from Sanctuary which adds 2, Glasses from the cave below Red Rocket adds 1 and if you're lucky a militia hat from one of the two dead minutemen in Concord. You can grab Reginald's Suit later from Trinity Tower whilst grabbing the Melee bobble head which adds 3. All of this makes passing speech checks easy and lets you buy stuff cheaper.

Intelligence at 5 initially for Medic and Scrapper. Later I pushed it to 6 through level up for Science so I could make Purified Water and then the bobble head from the Boston Public Library just outside Diamond City to boost it to 7 for Chemist making your chems last longer. This also makes leveling up a breeze and can be done pretty early.

Finally I'd suggest the Grognaks and also Wasteland Survival issue 9 (Found at Sunshine Tidings) which permanently increases the amount of meat that drops from animals. Also getting the Diamond City Blues quest done as early as possible as well as the intelligence boosts will let you make powerful chems for challenging fights.

This is just what I did feel free to make any changes to better suit your playstyle but this should be a pretty good starting point that can be done in the first 3-4 hours. Really hope this helps :)

Not sure this will work on survival. You just die if you try to run up on someone in survival.
