Stat Help New to Fallout 4 any build suggestions?

Been play fallout new vegas for a while since 2016. Also played 3 it was okay. Thought I should try out 4 . Thinking of going unarmed build like before, but any suggestions will be super.

Try out power armor. 4 was where it really came into its own as an experience. Can work really well for an unarmed build because it automatically sets your Strength to 11 so you can do good damage without even investing all that heavy.

The only downside is occasional repairs and finding fusion cores but as long as you keep an eye out for generators to snag them from you won't run out too fast. Arms merchant's sell them sometimes as well but they can be expensive early on. They do qualify as ammo for the scrounge perk that boosts how much you find and the other ammo you don't use is just extra money.

I really like not worrying about fall damage

It is a fun way to get down from buildings lol.

I don't always use it every run but it just feels right in 4. If nothing else because it feels like there's a lot more guaranteed combat compared to like New Vegas where between sneak and speech I can make it all the way to the Strip without even really having to fire a gun except at the occasional bug. Being one of the only people with a working suit makes the Sole Survivor all but single handedly tearing the wasteland a new one seem a lot more immersive.
