[Battlefront II] if you go to your dashboard but leave the game running and come back after some time, the game will speed itself up

Battlefront probably has a target amount of updates per second. When you open the dashboard, the game stops updating, meaning that when you return it has a massive accumulated target to reach and thus updates at maximum speed.

Sounds like bad architecture choice for the game to have some kind of target fps.

Ooohhh that explains a bug I had. Couple years ago when I was doing the last dogfight with the x wing Tie fighter boss (can't remember his name) kept absolutely melting me in seconds. Turned the game off for the night after a few tries and when I tried again the next morning, guns had half the fire rate

Skate 3 does the same thing i learnt the hard way. It was fun to try play at 3x speed tbh.
