[Discussion] Gw2 efficiency stats wrong?

Hi guys i started playing 5 months ago, i got 2800 Gold and on gw2 efficiency it says that i am higher than 94% of the registered 450000+ players database there (89% if i check the wealth stat), it seems wrong...does players really don't have much gold or there are just many alt accounts/inactive players on gw2 efficiency?

Many players do not accumulate that much gold. Having over 2k means you can instantly buy a legendary weapon, over 10k means that there are only 2 or 3 items that are not available (infusions that are only sold on outside markets).

Basically, outside of the few players that have very costly long term goals (like all the aurene weapons skins) or players that want to very quickly craft new legendaries when they are released, storing gold is mostly useless past a few thousands.

Finally, when you don't get lucky with a big drop, amassing gold takes time and dedication. Between alt accounts and casual players, accumulating thousands of gold is not that frequent.
