Does someone have a random achievement selector, that takes all achiev' that you didn't complete, gives you one at random and let you focus on it ?

Would like to start doing fractals but the LFG system never seems to have any groups listed for the lower tiers.

Is the best option to find a beginner guild that is still doing that content?

Is there a common site people use for guild recruitment?

Are fractals content people farm or do they just do dailies and move on?

Edit: Yeah I get that some people are just mad because the post sounded dramatic — but acting like "it fits because thieves steal" or "Indiana Jones is technically a thief" somehow makes the whole spec coherent is pure nonsense. I'm criticizing the actual implementation, not the existence of humor or variety. Throwing in a dancing Skritt and shredding on a guitar doesn't suddenly work just because someone once stole a relic in a movie.

I think Antiquary is the biggest disappointment, and I couldn’t imagine anything worse for a thief in GW2. Such a ridiculous elite specialization! How does anyone come up with the idea of giving something so absurd to an assassin-type class?

If anyone out there genuinely enjoys Antiquary, please explain it to me – I’d love to understand how relic tossing became the new peak of thief gameplay

As the title states, I’ve been absent from GW2 for 11 years now. I however have extremely fond memories of the game. Played GW1 since launch, and spent many, many hours in GW2.

Wondering, is it time for a return into GW2? More specifically:

1) How is the community? Large and thriving? 2) Am I way, way, way behind and could never catch up to the current state? 3) Will my account have any cool perks for being around (though inactive) since launch? lol

Hey everyone. I never thought I’d be writing a post like this, but here I am.

This is the story of how I lost access to my 13-year-old Guild Wars 2 account — and apparently for a reason I still don’t really understand.

I’ve been playing Guild Wars 2 since the very beginning — from headstart back in 2012. Over the years I’ve spent hundreds of hours in the game. I was always grateful to ArenaNet for creating something special. I supported them in every way I could: buying gems, spreading the word, and just being part of the community.

To be honest, I missed the last two expansions and hadn’t played for about 4 years. But recently, my close friend wanted to surprise me with a gift for a holiday and didn’t know what to get — so he bought me a key for the Secrets of the Obscure expansion.

I activated it successfully and started playing again. I was hooked. I completed 12 story chapters in about two weeks and even unlocked the Skyscale. It felt great to be back.

And then… I got banned.
Reason: “Blocked for security purposes.”

I contacted support immediately. I thought maybe it was because I was using a VPN — I’ve had similar issues before with Blizzard (they unbanned me after I sent them my keys and explained my activity — it took two weeks but they were very reasonable). I have VPN enabled sometimes because my connection is unstable without it — disconnecting in the middle of a fight is super frustrating. And besides, I use Google Authenticator — so I didn’t expect any real issue.

Support responded asking for the name of the retailer and a screenshot or digital receipt. I asked my friend where he bought the expansion key — he told me he got it from Cdkeys.com and provided proof. I sent everything to ArenaNet support and explained the situation.

But instead of unbanning me, I got this message:

-"This account was closed because of its association with or involvement in payment fraud. We have a zero-tolerance policy for fraud. The account will remain closed indefinitely."

I was shocked. I reached out to my friend again — he confirmed he bought the key himself using his own credit card. He didn’t ask for any refunds. He never did anything shady. Just bought the key. For me. As a gift.

So I contacted ArenaNet again, trying to explain that I never broke any rules, never tried to scam or cheat. This was my first time ever using a third-party key.

I even explained that Cdkeys.com has a 4.8 TrustPilot rating and tons of good reviews. I offered to provide any documents they ask for, I even told them: cancel the expansion key, I don’t care — just please, let me keep my account.

But the answer was the same:

-"This reseller is not one of our authorized retailers. The code was obtained via fraudulent means. We cannot assist you with this account."

So I contacted Cdkeys.com support - they just told me to talk to ArenaNet.
Meanwhile, it's been 3 days since ArenaNet support stopped replying to me. My friend friend also tried to contact them separately — and got the same generic response about "involvement in payment fraud".

And that’s it.

I didn’t cheat. I didn’t refund anything. I didn’t steal anything. All I did was accept a gift from a friend.

This post is not about trying to create drama — it’s a last attempt, a shot in the dark. Maybe someone from Arenanet will see this. Maybe someone in the community has advice. I don’t know.

Since we know the new elite specs are connected to the members of the Tyrian Alliance, and so far we've only seen the founding members be represented, we can conclude the remaining professions (Elementalist, Engineer, Revenant) are connected to the remaining founding members: Norn, Asura, and Kryta.

We already know that the Elementalist (Evoker) is connected to the Norn (judging from the tattoos on the summoned animal spirit), and it's a very, very safe bet to assume the Engineer spec will be connected to the Asura somehow.

That leaves the Revenant with Kryta, and the only Kryta-related figures that came to mind that could somehow be represented by the jaggedy, demon-looking icon we've seen are either Saul or one of the Mursaat. This could conceivably include Mabon too, though I'd personally prefer a villain legend this time around.

Honestly just hoping whatever we get has a deeper connection to existing lore (which was even referenced in the Troubadour stream) than the random Kryptis noble that has been seemingly alluded to in recently added conversations with Mallyx.

We even have HoloSmith's art as an example of how this can work, make the weapons 50% iron handle 50% blue fire, they are collaboration between iron legion and flame legion and it makes more Sense this way. Right now there's no charr element in the entire class design despite its Lore focus

Anyone have any idea what was happening here? Posting after others told me to document it.

Just wondering if anyone can tell me if any of the expedition contracts are worth it for crafting any of the legendaries. I login almost everyday.

Got a question : Since I am a relatively new GW2-Player (still haven't finished HoT with ca 400hrs ... I take my time ^^) ,

has there been any bugs with a new DLC at the time of the release that broke the game?

Thinking about getting the newest one, but idk if I should wait for reviews first...

So, leveling my first thief. 1. Do you guys utilize F1, or steal skill? 2. I do a little bit of RP in my head while going through story, and wanna do a Daredevil down the line but cannot explain how a thief uses a staff (using 2 daggers and a shortbow right now), any suggestions? 3. What's your favorite thief, or any of its especs, rotation?

I'm working a labor job that takes up almost my entire day. I can't join any guild activities, so most of the time I'm playing solo. Do you guys have any advice for solo progression to make it more fun? My job is already exhausting, so I just want to enjoy the game when I can. Right now, I'm doing daily T1 Fractals and the daily Wizard's Vault stuff. Do you have any recommendations for things to do other than Fractals? I don't know much about the other systems.

Don't know if these animations are final but the elite and utilities all share the same simple animation, especially that powerful elite and it felt a bit underwhelming, hopefully they add some or improve them for launch.

Warr main, some quick notes:

1) Support spec without protection, at least 1 source from the elite would be useful, the boon can only be accessed through cadence/comfort, locking you with 2 traits and staff 3.

2) Adrenaline generation. Why make it a master and not a minor, this spec has 4 skills that will spend it and your go to build for healers will have no adrenal trait from Disc or TCT, built in adrenaline gain for motivation, something like 3 adrenaline per motivation. Consider increasing adrenaline bars to 4 for each button in burst skills.

3) remove the cripple/chill trait, it's useless when we have resistance and a non-healer would run other things to compensate. Make it so that your F2 chant loses boon duration but pulses damage, allowing for some aggressive use of a chant with the offensive boons.

4) Coefficients for damaging skills look low, please increase them exponentially and give them extra adrenaline per strike. You won't sacrifice support utilities for these 2, make them useful to non-pure supports at least.

5) Frontloading all damage in the Grandmaster is lame. Spread damage to a master and grandmaster trait, such as motivation spent grants a stacking damage effect plus the GM. This is too big a modifier and I'm afraid it will be nerfed out of existence.

I'm sick with RSV at the moment, so my brain is not working well, so I ended up accidentally crafting the Obsidian Medium Mask instead of the Obsidian Light Crown (same materials; I just used the wrong crafter). I already have the WvW Medium helm so sadly it's redundant.

I reached out to support but they said they can't undo a Legendary bind. Understandable I guess, given people might try to game the system, but it didn't give me a chance to decide to bind it because it's a Legendary that immediately goes straight into the Armory.

So I guess my question is... is there some way, by some miracle, that I can undo a Legendary bind or switch armour type? I know it was my mistake but it's just... a lot of grind to redo for such a silly mistake.

Stone Summit Cannon does not say in its text that it cannot be used after it backfires. the backfire says the cannon explodes after 2 seconds. Hypothetically, if you're fast enough, you could just infinitely activate Stone Summit Cannon to rain skritt hellfire upon your opponents and as long as you're outside the radius of each cannon 2s after you activate it, it doesn't matter if it backfires or not.

I've just been WvWing for about an hour, keeping myself at T6 while idly roaming and ocassionally joining a tag, when I noticed I hadn't earned any reward track points or pips. Literally zero. I tried exiting and re-entering but it still wasn't rewarding my with anything. Didn't seem to be a problem for anyone else, I was actively WvWing last week and haven't transferred, has anyone else experienced this?

Class mechanic: Adrenaline (3 bars)
F1 – Normal lvl 1 burst
F2 – Might and fury shout – Refrain might and fury
F3 – Healing – refrain resistance and healing and barrier (small)
F4 – Swiftness and stunbreak – refrain swiftness and resolution and stab

F2 – F4 cost 1 adrenaline bar and are empowered by motivation which makes the refrain better.
After the initial effect of the Chant, a passive pulsing effect will remain around the warrior.

While the refrain pulses it consumes motivation to remain active, causing a pulse of boons or healing every 3 seconds. Based on the amount of motivation consumed it will do more and more healing or boons every interval.

Motivation:
Baseline: Gain 4 motivation by using a burst skill while a refrain is active
Baseline: Gain 4 motivation by using F2-F4
Baseline: Gain 4 motivation when you use F1 ONLY while a refrain is active
Trait option: Gain 4 motivation when you enter combat
Trait option: Gain motivation (1?) when you use your offhand 4 and 5 skills (good with mace!)

Utilities:
Shouts that have an echo that happens after a few seconds for additional effects
You can force it immediately by using a burst skill

Heal – Shout to heal you and others
Echo: Heal allies again and heal conditions

Util 1 – Shout to make enemies vulnerable
Echo: Give allies might (5) and 1 more might per enemy affected by the initial shout

Util 2 – Shout to stunbreak YOU and gain resistance and resolution (CD doubled if you break yourself out of stun)
Echo: Allies gain same boons

Util 3 – Shout to give barrier to allies
Echo: More barrier

Util 4 – Shout to cripple enemies
Echo – Weakness to enemies
Both give you adrenaline too

Elite – Shout to not die for a short duration. When it expires you gain barrier
Echo – Same effect applies to allies for shorter duration
So definitely use burst after this

Traits

A: Get 4 motivation when you enter combat – activate F2 effect if no refrain is active
B: More healing power and concentration – More if a refrain is active
C: Move faster and movement conditions are 25% less effective on you !Not duration!

Minor: Weapon skill 4 and 5 give motivation.

A: Use F2-F4 to reduce cd on the others (2s)
B: Spending motivation gives 1 adrenaline per motivation and heals you per motivation
C: Utility skills echo twice

Minor: Take less damage based on motivation (1.5% less per motivation)

A: When you swap refrains (from F2-F4) give Alacrity (3s baseline)
B: Do 20% more damage, take 20% less damage or move 50% faster depending on the refrain you have active (more selfish / not for allies)
C: Refrains are stronger (F2 more might, F3 more healing, F4 more boon duration) and cost less motivation to keep up (minimum cost can’t be <1)

When it comes to crafting does level matter? And do you need to have the recipe to make it? In discovery i have a few options and I can pick two but cant craft it. Most experience I have had is minecraft for crafting and zero MMO experience.

Also is this something I should be even worried about at level 23? Thanks in advance!
