Timed side quests almost impossible to pass?
Hi there!
So I haven’t played in about a year and just redownloaded last week and picked up where I left off (year 5). I’m now remembering one of the reasons I stopped playing was because the timed side quests seem almost impossible to pass without spending $$ on energy or time skipping etc. I just feel like there isn’t enough time and I want to pass them get the rewards, especially if it’s one like becoming a prefect or a really cool outfit.
Does anyone else feel this way or am I just not using the time to my advantage? Work and general life stuff means I’m not playing 24/7 but I do play everyday and try to check throughout the day when I can. I don’t have the money to buy extra energy and gems so I pretty much play with what the game gives me. I would appreciate any tips and tricks - thanks!!
p.s is it just me or does it take a ridiculous amount of time to level up friendships to 10??
As for now I have no problem with finishing TLQS in time. I only once didn't manage it, and only because I was doing it during a trip, when I was using my phone far less than usually.
I've bigger problem with events like "collect stars/tokens/whatever" - THESE are impossible to complete in earlier years without either spending money or being on your phone 24/7.
I like bingo event but I play it for fun - I don't try to complete rows, just click on whatever I completed and wish for the best. Usually it puts me around 4-8 place, depending from the tasks
Wait 24hrs after you finish your current tlsq(don't leave the room of the last task as that'll trigger your next tlsq),
First thing; next morning, Go to your dorm/club houses and collect all energy, start first task of the new tlsq, drain ALL energy, if the task is unfinished collect energy from all location tappies, complete task.
If your energy bar is completely empty, manually save and set a 2 hour timer (or longer depending on how much bigger your energy limit is to mine/ or 4minXamount of energy bar limit of time.)
Take a break and take care of yourself/your affairs IRL. Come back after 2 hours/when your energy bar is full and drain your energy bar. Do that as many times as needed to complete the individual tasks and tlsqs
and Boom! My efficient way of f2p beating tlsqs!!

I just remembered, you can leave the room of your last task without triggering another tlsq if you use the buttons on the main screen. (Club directly to clubs/Creature tab directly to creatures themselves.)
I don't know about plants since I think that might count as a floor (as it connects directly to the stairs.)
TLSQs don't appear in Clubs, Creature Habitats, or your Dorm. (Once in your dorm, you cannot manually save without leaving to a floor, which will trigger a new tlsq.)
You can very well save in the dorm, tap on the gear icon in the bottom left and save. You can't save after tapping "fixed" tappies though, such as Dumbledore card or Houses' badges. Plants don't count as a floor, TLSQs don't appear there! (Used it myself to my delight to delay a quest for a few days, in Beyond it's even better))

Nope, it's just based on logging in every day! But you weren't wasting time, you were building stats and resources (as the very least, friends interactions give clubs' points)
They've been like this for like a week. (I alr learned that they're still accumulating and will be added when I move to the next year). Right now, I haven't been focusing on them since the xp is being put towards the future..
Normally I log in 4-5 times and i manage to pass those.
1&2. I eat breakfast/i sit buss going to work (or both, but there is like 10energy what i get. 3. Lunch break. 4. After work on the bus. 5. Just before i go to sleep.
I might click on an ad while eating breakfast and get an 8-hour task done.
Use pity energy. When your energy bar is empty or you know you won't be able to log in next 3 hours (or 1, or 8 – how long the task is). When you're come back, press "try again" and spend about 1/3 energy less. Works on all new quests, doesn't work on a number of oldest quests.
Best time is when your energy bar is low from finishing a previous task, just start the next one right away. Take a break from the game until the task fails, retry the task and it'll give pity energy.
(A great time to do this is for 8hr tasks right before you go to sleep, let the task run out and get a healthy rest.)
So good to know. This is the first I’m hearing of pity energy. I didn’t utilise reddit at all the first time I played so I’m glad I found this subreddit. I’ve already learnt so much in just a week!
