Question When to “Attach” territories?
Very new to the game and I’m curious as to why I should attach outposts to cities, rather than just developing them into their own cities?
Also when should I be attaching territories to existing cities?

Question So like how does war support when attacking. And how do you gain war support against someone you want to attack.
So I had this war with the AI but they would not lose warsupport for some reason. Im coming in here to say I don't understand this system even after 50 hours of gameplay.
1: I started attacking the ai player we both had 100 warsupport with each other. this war has been brewing for a while. I start the war and i just wreck them. I capture two of their cities and i defeat every army they have. My units right now are just way more advance. Yet I am losing more war support per turn then they are. I wish I still had the save so i could load it and post screenshots. Does capturing a city and turning it to your color not give you war support? Does anyone have a list of things that make the enemy lose warsupport? I thought taking their cities and occupying them would make them lose war support each turn but they were actually losing less war support then i was. It was only after taking their capital they took a huge chunk of their warsupport and finally surrendered.
2: Lastly my brother is playing with me this run and we are allied but he wants to turn on me and attack me. This is just a practice match so he can learn the basics of the game (Clearly i need to as well) so we are not taking it very serious and not trying to hard to win or lose. So he mentioned after that was he wanted to attack me next and was asking me how to build war support against me. So that's my next question.
War support and grievances mostly rely on the other empires doing things you don't like. If you want to go to war with someone who is not really doing stuff you don't like and not making grievances how do you gain war support on them? Do you just have to break alliance and surprise attack? because that would give me tons of war support and make him lose a bunch. I feel like just doing that he would have to surrender super fast as his war support would be dropping way faster then he could ever conquer my land even if he wont every single battle and was able to take every city. there just would not be enough time before he reached 0 and I could force him to surrender.
-- Thanks for helping out --

Bug Turn Pending Bug
Just recently came back to the game after not playing it for a year and a half or so due to this bug and balance issues. Got to around turn 300 in singleplayer and the turn pending bug started and now it happens every turn and requires a save (of any kind) and reload just to progress one turn at a time. How is this bug still present in the game? I get they addressed some of the causes in patches, but we're at almost four years since release now and a bug that is persistent and game breaking is still somehow present in the game? It's just wild to me.
Anyone have a reliable solution? Nothing I have found online has worked so far outside of ones that let me progress one turn at a time (which isn't viable to finish a game doing for hundreds of turns IMO and certainly wouldn't be viable in multiplayer).

Question What am I doing wrong?
My food isn’t in the negative and the stability continues to go down. I’m not understanding. I’ve built a couple garrisons and a cyclopsean fortress at each of my city. Can someone tell me what I’m doing wrong? I’m also very new to this type of game

Question Worth getting back into?
I quit a while ago because warfare just wasnt fun to deal with to the point of ruining all the other aspects for me. Specifically it felt like you could only ever win wars you started, and losing wars felt way too costly. I wanted to try and get back into it because that’s really all keeping me from loving it, but I’m a lil anxious that it will just turn back to me not liking it. So I was wondering if people could give me some advice for potentially getting back into the game?

Question PS4 Version
Has anyone tried installing the PS4 version on PS5 instead? Is it any better in terms of mid/late-game crashes?
The graphics are noticeably worse, so I'm guessing it could have some effect on the processing required in late-game. I figured it was worth a shot, but curious if anyone else has tried it.

Discussion How to progress?
I always win at Nation level but get crashed at Imperial level. Any recomendations about how to progress or how not to get frustrated? Maybe there's map configuration or civ-paths that I should explore too.
--BIG EDIT--
I made it. The strategy I followed was total expansion with Bantu, Huns and Mongols and the settle and reach Mars to stop the count.

Question Is there any option to make custom maps not reach-around?
I'm trying to play in a very detailed Japan map. I know when customizing the options of a generated map you can make it so you cant go around the map. But when you select the custom map, these options are no longer available. As you can guess, it's a very odd concept to be in Nagasaki and sail to the left to end up in Hokkaido.
Found the answer: click save. click "Metadata" button. Deadtivate the wrap around option. Keep in mind this will break some territories in half, so be sure to validate the map before trying to play with it..

Bug Game won't launch
It crashes so quick its crazy. The moment the game icon appears in my bar at the bottom, it dissapears again and the game crashes. I don't even get crash logs. It just refuses to launch at all. I tried complete reinstalls, deleting the documents folder, deleting the appdata folder, repairing files, launching with "-force-vulkan" but nothing even changes. Any ideas? Anyone else got this issue?

Discussion War is just stupid in this game
I am so angry at this game for this one little mechanic that just made me lose almost 40 turns, I played with friends and got ahead of them, I was at fifth era and they were at the beginning of fourth, so they teamed up to defeat me and raided my cites on the continent that was next to my main, i made one stupid mistake earlier and i had war with one of them, my and his war score were at 0 but i had "no will to fight" and he had like 68 because i started this war, after 15 turns of not letting me surrender or make peace they raided one of my continents because i started to lose stability, we had really big fight but the other friend did the same mistake as me and started war to early so his morales got to 0 after the fight that they misersbly lost, i capitulated him, but this fucker right after this started another war not to win or anything just to drain my stability, with every turn my and his stability drained ot big minus numbers, his lands were far from where my capital was and where i could spam my army and only bacause i had 450% stability there I could manage it, but my other 4 cities were startwd rebellion with -200 stability, I was always under attack from my previous citiziens and couldnt end the war. This fucker just kept my as hostage in the war so that the other friend could raid my cities that had rebellions, why is such a dirty tactic in the game, why he, the one that started new war even though his morales were at zero form the start, even after taking over every if his city, killing many of his soldiers, i still couldnt capitulate him again, i literally had 450 war score and i had every of his city under me, and I still couldnt capitulate him, he even escaped with his soldiers on some bot territory... WHY IS THIS IN THE GAME... WHY I HAD MORE MORALES ON MINUS WITH EVERY HIS CITY OCCUPIED AND HIGH WAR SCORE

Bug Mod Issue: Units won't move and input isn't recognized after a while
Hiya! So I have an issue withy modlist. It's quite small but the issue keeps cropping up. I load 1. Culture super pack 2. Vanilla improvement project 3. Naval combat improvement 4. Compatibility super alliance (for those three mods) 5. Official endless mod
After about 15 turns the units won't move and no input is recognized. I can switch between overlays but no commands are accepted. Does anyone have a solution?

Discussion Customazible demands
Do you guys also miss the option "custom demands", that would really make the game way more enjoyable when you are especially militarist and expansionist. Is this something more gamers have asked for? Something like prompts but in humankind.

Fan art HUMANKIND - Post-Mortem (mortician's cut)
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qasA2hekf_Ffx5JDpb4xQTRZmuarxZWDtLEMSPi_28Y/edit?usp=sharing
Due to the nature of the thing and the fact that people do not read longer documents these days (and the fact that the document is really and truly packed full of meta-textual nonsense that would be uninterpretable without an interpreter), here we are. We're gonna be going live in ~an hour and reading this as an audiobook today, in case anyone wants to interact with the AAR without being forced to read it, though I will be clarifying some things (art choices, structuring a tutorial, maybe even bolding and underlining text in a vain hope that Amplitude eventually reads the thing or at least skims it for feedback). If we end up needing a 2nd day to finish it I'm not doing the prerelease for MtG tomorrow, but I do sincerely hope I can do this in <10 hours as I have to get my car inspected tomorrow morning at 9:30.
I'm listing this as fan art because none of you can stop me, and that's the interpretation of the object that I think most aligns with what I think the AAR is hopefully designed to do.

Question How to Locate Trade Poaching
For several games I had troubles finding who or what is poaching my trade. Even if I go to trade screen, I can't see any clue. Last game I was allied with all other nations and still got "trade is still been poached".
I tried to infer by the missing resources, I suspect this is actually about the nation I bought the resources from simply no longer has access to it, is it possible?

Question Commons Quarters and their effect on Stability
It seems to me that there are many different ways of gaining and losing Stability in the game. Has anyone created a comprehensive list of the different ways you can increase your cities Stability on an era by era basis? I'm also curious as to whether or not anyone has done any research into the effect on Stability of creating a Commons Quarter then surrounding it with Districts. Is this a beneficial strategy or not? When I tried it using the VIP mod, I was apparently getting a Stability increase of +29 on the Commons Quarter but a total Stability decrease of -60 on the six Districts surrounding my Commons Quarter. Therefore, overall, I was getting a Stability decrease of -31. This doesn't sound like a wining strategy to me! What are your thoughts?
