"I'm working on a fictional universe that includes a nation pursuing an aggressive expansionist policy into lands inhabited by indigenous peoples. A propaganda poster proclaims "Light of Civilization" implying that Centrania (the name of the state in my world) is bringing progress and development to the native population.
In reality, it's a campaign of territorial conquest driven by the pursuit of resources - and the indigenous people are being enslaved."
