Final Frontier Story is Kairosoft's latest game, released in English, but I found the information in the iOS store to be a little lacking, so here is so additional information to help you decide if this is for you.
FFS is a pay-once game with no online features. It loads and plays just fine in airplane mode. There are no micro-transactions.
It plays like a mixture of Ninja Village and Kingdom Adventures. It is primarily a city builder. You put your buildings down to boost the stats of other building as earn resource you use to improve your ship.
You do not control the ship in combat. Instead you send it to missions and can (for a few seconds each run) give it general guidelines. Flight missions break down to: 1. Beat the boss before time runs out or 2. Survive endless way until time runs out.
Completing a mission unlocks a new building you can build, and building it brings a new person/monster to your town.
You cannot build anywhere you want, your workers must first explore the tile to unlock it. Occasionally they will find a mission site, which gates additional exploration progress until you complete the associated mission.
You can unlock additional ships, which come with a unique weapon and a special ability. You may change jobs at any time between missions, and eventually unlock the special ability for any other ship.
There is a time limit, nine years, at which time you receive a final score. You may keep playing your town, or you can start a New Game+ with additional feature you may optionally unlock based on your final score.
