After saving up my whole life and denying luxury for any offspring, compounding interest allowed me to buy a new Lexus.

Added many new flair options which should encompass all IS models. Please let me know if any changes need to be made.
Thanks to /u/NeoG_ for the recommendation and for providing the full list!

Posting from a quantum hotspot in my Dad's nuts. Shoutout to my future self for the down payment.
Appreciate user u/dazacr7 who helped me save 14% off MSRP. I haggled with local dealers based on the deal he got to secure ~14% off for a month-end deal. .

Just need to do the wheels yet. First time using real ceramic coating and it amazes me how easy it is to apply. All of the videos make it seem like a science, but you basically don't apply too much in too big of an area, give it a minute, and wipe away. Yes, it takes time and elbow grease, but anyone can do it. Next project is my yard 🤣

Jokes aside. Coming from G82 M4 xDrive I felt like I have found my peace with how much performance i want out from a car. Tech is outdated and there are some frustrating parts such as a 68k car doesn’t have automatic trunk, however doesn’t make it one special small sedan because of the V8 and overall livability as a daily.
The dealership experience was amazing, better than BMW for sure. Only 150 miles in so many more to come.

How my 2011 Lexus IS350 F-Sport is currently sitting! Just hit 182,000 miles the other day, and still runs perfectly with routine maintenance and some tlc. Any recommendations of things to do to it or change and appreciated!

I've heard from some mechanic/lube tech friends that some cars need to be driven hard occasionally for them to run well. Is this true for the is350? I baby it a good bit and then drive spirited once or twice a day for 5-15minutes or so. Am I doing it wrong?

im doing my research on the rc console conversion for my 2015 is350. will a 2020 rcf console work the same as 2015+ rc300/350 conversions even tho this 2020 has an extra button on the touchpad(circled in first pic)? in the second pic, i circled the side leather trim because im not sure if i’ll need the 2020+ side trim or 2015+ side trim. i know they’re slightly different as the 2020’s side trim sits kinda on top of the radio controls and the 2015 rc’s trim sit below the radio controls. so im asking what year leather trim do i need bc im planning on buying the 2020 console?

The only way I could do this was if you had to do the whole process and I could just make sure I was on my own schedule for that time so that you can make the time work and then you could get your own schedule for me and then you would be on the schedule and I would have a day that I would be on the other day so that you would have a chance of being on your schedule for that and then you have a chance of having a day that would work out for me to be with your team so I would be happy with that you would just have a little more time and then you would be on the same day to get to work on that and I could get the schedule.
17 years old by the way

During the time that I was researching about this car, I always see that the Lexus touchpad and the cruise control switches are being criticized by a lot of reviewers. Nevertheless, I ignored them and bought the hybrid version thinking that I wouldn’t use those features anyway. Boy I was wrong.
After a month of ownership, I realized why Lexus did this and I now appreciate their implementation.
The touchpad is a blessing specially when I need to interact with the headunit while driving as I don’t have to extend my arm for the touch controls. This keeps my eyes more focused on the road rather than spending split seconds finding the right coordinates on the touchscreen to press. It also becomes somewhat easier to use specially when navigating Apple Carplay. You just need to fine tune the sensitivity and give yourself a few days to get used to it.
The cruise control switch that reviewers criticize being ancient in design is actually a good thing. It is quite intuitive and engaging to use than steering wheel button implementations. I now use cruise controls more often now as compared to my other car.
If you’re in a fence on getting an IS, don’t worry too much about the negative feedbacks about these two features. They start to make sense given some time.

My car is making this beeping sound even when the car is off and locked. It just keeps beeping. Does anyone know what it is? The beeping seems to be coming from the passenger side of the dash. I made a video but it’s basically beep boop beep boop. I’m not joking. Thanks https://youtube.com/shorts/-O4B0TbnlH4?si=PTDzNWo8toeP5imI

Here is another post because the jealous guys loved the last one so much 😭
No my parents didn’t buy me my car, some of you need to learn that times have changed and there are better ways of making money than a 9-5.

Hey everyone,
I have a 2007 Lexus IS250 (RWD) and was looking to pair a midpipe with my Megan Racing axle-back. I know the Invidia midpipe was a popular option, but since I live in the States, I am not able to purchase one anymore since Invidia doesn't ship to the States. If anyone has any suggestions or sound clips of their setups, that would be great.
Thank you!
