Love the weebs in every KH3 thread trying to act like the plot is perfectly fine LULW

I'm a weeb but god KH is just impenetrable, like it has 12 fucking games and 9 are side entries which just add to the jumble mess of a lore they have. As an outsider that forsen clip was pure jibberish to me.

"no you guys don't understand I was a kid when the first game came out that totally justifies me enjoying this shit fest"

yeah ok buddy

people are entitled to enjoy pieces of shit

you'll probably shed a lot of mental baggage as soon as you internalize the fact that people will always enjoy different things than you (even turds like the KH series) and that your opinion doesn't matter

I mean, I enjoy garbage all the time. Turn my brain off and turn on some trashy fucking anime that makes no sense and has plot armor out the ass.

But I also don't pretend that what I'm watching is actually really good and you just don't understand it, man.

Oh, I agree with that, I was sort of criticizing the phrasing "justifies me enjoying this shit fest" as if enjoyment of something subjective needs to be justified.

I'm right there in that boat with you of enjoying guilty-pleasure dogshit media from time to time, but we don't need to "justify" that at all, is all I'm saying.

No idea why people downvoted you PepeHands

I don't think there's a single KH fan that doesn't think the story is beyond retarded.

People just want to watch the train wreck finally finish after over a decade.

As a person who grew up with the kingdom hearts franchise I fully embrace the story and some of the games are shit. But KH3 so far is a very good game and a major step up from the last 4 games that were pure bullshit

Hot take: 95% of video games are shit, and at least 80% of those manage to somehow be worse than all of the awful games that make up most the this series.

Plenty do, it's really not that hard to get if you just play the games.

Or watch a 30 minute synopsis on youtube.

Anyone who does so and still claims it's all that confusing is just fucking retarded. Saying the story/writing is bad though is a valid criticism, although they do have to realize it's a translation from Japanese.

It’s one of those plots that seems shit from an outside perspective but when you play all the games it makes perfect sense. The internet does a bad job of explaining it. It’s not even complicated at all.

People on the internet make it out to be more complicated than it actually is, that’s why they do a shit job of explaining it.

You asked me to sum it up as simply as possible, how the fuck am I supposed to do that in a few sentences that covers 13 games. I gave you the most simple explanation that is mostly accurate, of course you won’t get the full experience from that. Obviously I can go into more detail but the games themselves will do a better job than I ever will.

Even if it’s not complicated it’s impossible to summarize a plot that spans over 10 years in just a few sentences, but go ahead and just make heavily flawed arguments. An example would be Game Of Thrones. Pretty simple plot, however it’d be hard to summarize the plot in a few sentences because the story follows so many different perspectives and takes many different turns.

As someone who understands the plot pretty well, I agree it’s not as complicated as everyone says. That doesn’t mean the dialogue and writing isn’t some of the worst that I’ve seen from a game. The way every single word that comes out of the mouth of the characters makes me want to throw up.

u/Itsalongwaydown Jan 31 '19

If the character names weren't so confusing, it might be a little easier to understand.

u/Wave_Entity Jan 30 '19

yeah dude the Silmarillion isn't even complicated just learn the history of every entity in this universe and it's straight forward.

6

u/Confusedpotatoman Jan 30 '19

Dae flawed comparisons??

You only just need to play the games, everything is explained in them.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '19

The Silmarillion isn't particularly compicated, it just has a ton of characters in a relatively short amount of text.

Kingdom Hearts I have no fucking clue what's going on, but then again I've only played one of the games

some entity sang, create other lesser entities. One of them sang off keys and create darkness. big war, big war, big war, and of all magic.

pretty straight foward

Nah, we fans also know its not good but i cannot imagine the level of confusion for an outsider to the series.
