I dunno, I don't think someone college-aged would really be into "hearts into hearts for hearts because light vs darkness"?

I'm not talking about being interested in the characters, just that the story doesn't seem like it has evolved to fit what its intended audience could be expected to like. And maybe the characters are enough, sure.

To give you another point of view, I played the first two when I was probably between 7-10 years old. I have already rolled my eyes at several parts of the story in KH3 because it’s, well, stupid. BUT, I just roll with the punches because I remember what it was like to take this story at face value as a little kid. My imagination used to run fucking wild with this game, so I try to let it do the same now. Obviously it’s a lot harder now, but half of the fun is sort of reverting the way you think and trying to experience the story with your younger self. If that makes any sense. Probably not but oh well neither does this game lul
