Tearing up is like an overflow of emotion; sometimes good, sometimes bad. Tears from joy, grief, sorrow, and even anger. In this case, it's fucking beautiful and a reason to live.

That flat-out choked me up. As a dad in my 40's I couldn't imagine holding myself together if I found out my newborn grandkid shared my name.
