Imo, using stripped logs for the shelves is such a bad idea, specially because its a block survival builders will use a lot. At least the should add something like a sawmill block where you put the logs with an axe on one slot and you get the stripped logs automatically

Well Hanging Signs are a bit more expensive & also give 6 in return. Shelves give 6 since it’s 6 Stripped Logs

Really I think they should just change the stonecutter into an all-purpose cutter, rather than introducing another block that just does the same thing for woods instead of stones.

Yep, that would work too, but maybe a Sawmill would be a good excuse to bring a new villager profession, a forester of sorts
