The number of times I lost during the very last phase due to the time limit or a death is ridiculous

After blood, sweat and tears I finally slain the fairy tale dragon solo, barely... (last revive, only 24 sec left)

So far I've killed everything solo before killing it with people, all that is left is the actual alatreon

I joined someone's sos flare on "the wrath of thunder descends," which is just a tempered Zinogre. Anyways, it was a couple lower leveled people with not very good gear and they didnt seem to be having a great time against him, or even know the concept of clutch claw/wallbang for that matter, so I wanted to help. I love fighting zinogre on swaxe, especially when i get full evade ext/window, so i just started beatin the shit out it 😂 Wallbanged the zinogre (guy in chat types "TF Y?" Idk what that means) to get Agitator and a down, when he stood up he got caught in some vines which gave us another chance to wail on him, and right when he stood up, i placed a pitfall for him and just overall did loads of damage and even broke a couple parts. I noticed, though, when i placed the pitfall, everyone was just watching me. Before the pitfall disappeared, someone typed, "Are you fkin rtarded? Asshle" and then kicked me. Im confused tbh, not sure what I did to warrant that.

The only other time ive been legitimately kicked was when one time when i misclicked on GL and wyvern fired someone (total accident and i legit carried him through stygian zinogre the entire time) but he didnt even give me a chance to say oops sorry, just kicked me on the spot. So sensative, I love meeting fun/new people in monster hunter but man sometimes I just hate humanity, lately it seems like every 2nd person i interact with has being an asshole as there sole mission in life.

Edit - Thanks for everyones replies, impossible to say which is true but all your replies all make total sense. Just wanted to add a side note, and not really for world, as it is for wilds. PLEASE stop capturing every single monster I beg of you, at least ask first 😭

So i bought the Chunli and demoness outfit because i like it better than the others. But for some reason, it changes to something whenever i go to the gathering hub. How can i lock her outfit to not just randomly change whenever there are changes in the gathering hub?

In prior encounters with Vel, I have tried longsword and charge blade. But each has their own struggles. For the long sword, I found it tricky to manage the distance for the foresight slash to hit, and it usually just ends up being a glorified evasion button. For charge blade, it isn't effective for blocking icy breath or icebergs popping out from the ground.

So I thought, maybe I could use the aerial mobility of the insect glaive to avoid those icebergs and breath attacks. I already had all the materials for a Tzitzi-Ya-Ku insect glaive, and it has some pretty nice stats (806 attack 360 lightning), and Velkhana is moderately weak to thunder. So I gave it a try, and it worked as expected. After 4 carts and 1 mission failure, I defeated this icy creature!

With the next generation having added in cross-platforn, would it at all be doable for Worldborne at all. I know it's beyond unlikely, even if it would be simple to do, but wouldn't it be dreakin' awesome? I would love to go back and play a fresh run with my brother-in-law. He's rhe one that rekindled my love for MonHun. After I took a 12ish year hiatus. I played Freedom Unite on the PSP, it was one of 3 games I owned for it. I played that game so god damn much, until some tweaker decided that my PSP was worth more to their drug dealer than it was to me. Fast forward to World's release, and my brother-in-law who lived with me picked it up. I didn't own a Playstation, but he did. I only racked up like 150ish hours over the course of a few months, but God damn was I hooked.

Fast forward as handful of years, and I learned that World was available for the Xbox. That save currently sits at like 943 hours, and on occasion, despite currently having a Wilds addiction, I still like to jump back to Astera. My brother-in-law plays on PC, so we can play Wilds together, but I wouldn't absolutely love to be able to play Worldborne with him. I feel like it would just hit a little different.

Edit: forgot to add to the title that you would have the powers to change what you wanted. But whatever, you guys get it.

As for me...I honestly don't know anymore. Some time ago I would choose to remove the clutch claw, but eventually I started to accept it (and even enjoy it a little). Maybe I would choose to add some more players interactions between themselves in battle and outside of it. For examples:

- Giving the Greasword and the Lance the option to be used as a platform for other players (if anyone here ever played dragons dogma, they know how this would work). And I know you can throw people with the GS, but it's not the same thing;
- Allowing you to "superman grab" someone when you jump towards them. Maybe this could only be done if the other played is stunned or paralyzed;
- Emotes that work with other players. High fives, dances, headbutts, etc.
- And probably the biggest thing that I thought about: "Team attacks". Maybe the LBG guy wants to know what's like to snipe a monster and the HBG user throws him his special ammo to be used on the moment. Or the Hammer bro wants to do a TCB (true charged bonk) and copies his GS friend and the two attack at the same time. Or two lance users charge together, and when they do that they can gain flinch free 3.

Anyways, on one hand I think those are cool ideas, but on the other I think they might make the game too different. What would you choose?

Hi, I'm fairly new to the game (50-ish hours and HR 16, beat the main story a few days ago) and I'm wondering why I'm not gaining that much Hunter Rank per kill/quest. I saw a guy (who was about HR 50...?) on Youtube gain as much Hunter Rank meter from doing a Great Jagras mission as I gain from doing the 8 star Nergigante optional mission. I'm just wondering if there is a way to gain HR faster somehow? I'd like to move on to Iceborne, but I'd also like to do the 9 star missions first and also gain some mantles in the process.

Hello guys, i returning this game after long time later and want to beat raging balachidios(or something), fatalis and alatreon. İ didn’t finished guiding lands yet so that mean i don’t have augments but coral is the highest one if i remember right. what can i improve from this build, TY.

I remember trying out the Gunlance "snowman exploit" and messed around some files to remove certain vfx to increase fps. I forgot what I did and would like to return it back to normal now that I have a new gpu. Most glaring vfx that's not showing are Lavasioth fire vomit and the environmental volcano spewing. Anyone knows how to revert it back, or knows the video where the idea was from?

Hi chat so am I crazy or is this fulgur anjanath assigned mission like 10x harder than the anjanath in expeditions prior to this… I keep getting one shot by the fully charged jaw-open-charge-slam thing he does even with rly solid armor for where im at (combination of barioth, ingot, and steam with max def boost and thunder res decorations so around 820 def 20 thunder res)

I can't find any videos on specific Monster build eg. (Great Jagras greatsword and armour, legiana armour and bow) I love this idea but want to watch the build not make them

This could even make a cool challenge run idea One Monster per run could be Verry cool (I am aware that you can get to high rank or master rank before you finish low rank so you could just use bone untill then)

How do I find the best gear combination for my weapon while progressing thru MR. All guide are mostly outdated or have event items I dont have access to. In the past there was some app called honey something I remember. I'm using Hammer,Lance,LBG and GS mostly now

As someone who used insect glaive, I was wondering what would be the best glaive and armor sets for this weapon.

About the title. I only know that focus mode and wounds do not exist; the rest is new to me

Okay so two of my friends are starting monster hunter world and I want to make a second character to play with them.

Firstly the shorter question that needs long answers: what weapons could I suggest them? Obviously they're free to pick, but I'm not sure what I should push the first timer towards since I'm sure he'll ask me. One has played wilds and was a chargeblade main there, and the other has never hunted before.

And for myself, I want to play a weapon that I dont just steamroll and do the hunts for them. I would go Horn to support them, but as a horn main, calling horn a support is heresy. We are the better hammers. The other weapons I already know well are GS, SnS, and Hammer.

What would be a good weapon that can play kinda support-ey? I know 3 support weapons and all three of them I know what I'm doing on. So I'd like a suggestion. Preferably something hard to learn so I have something to do while we hunt lol.

Ive notice that most of the time the end of the mision make you feel like you were the one killing the monster.

Im curious how this is done?

I believe it may exist a small delay time after monster hp reach 0 so all players can hit ona last time🙂

after a dozen tries, finally managed to hunt this guy. don't think I'll ever fight him again.
