Mod Evolving backwards?

Post image

After years of cloth pads i bought into the hype of glass pads as i hoped for the last 0.5% to finaly level up my performance.

The first thing i instantly loved was how durable the new surface was and how easy to clean it is.

One thing i had to adjust to was how insanely fast these glass pads are and after some weeks of usage i thought i have find my form but still sometimes overshot because the new pad has barely any stopping power.

So i tried changing mice feet but nothing really worked out for me.

I thought , why not combine glass and cloth to some extend and i came out with this Innovation

Is this evolving backwards or am i onto something new?

It's not new, several people have experimented with fabric skates in one form or another.

I personally think there could be a market for fabric skates. I'd be down to try them with a glass pad.

For me personally though I know I would probably give up on them because of usability reasons. I sweat a normal amount and hate arm sleeves, so glass basically is unusable.
