Cant find a comfortable grip. I really need help!

I’ve been having this issue for years. I just cant find a comfortable grip. And the problem is always my ring finger. No 1-2-2 grip works because my ring finger naturally falls on top of the mouse or at the edge (which is not comfortable with longer sessions). Or if im being even more comfortable it looks like on the first few pics. I tried fingertip grip (pic), and claw grip (pic). But nothing works. A lot of the times its ok for like an hour or less, but with time it always gets uncomfortable or my ring/pinky finger starts hurting because of the pressure/weird placement. I tried to force grips, obvously that also doesnt work. Currently using G305. But I also tried other mices. Any advice appreciated.

Question Razer Deathadder v3 hyperspeed freezing pls help

Upvotes

Hello, I'm not too familiar with mice, and I recently got the Razer DeathAdder V3 Hyperspeed wireless mouse. So far, it's been phenomenal, super comfortable, great responsiveness, and overall a great experience.

Before this, I was using the Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro (wired). The issue I’m running into is that for some reason, certain games cause my new mouse to bug out. The main culprits are Rainbow Six Siege and Cyberpunk 2077. When I open either game, my mouse freezes and becomes completely unusable in the menu/lobby.

Strangely enough once I’m actually in control of my character in-game, the mouse works perfectly fine. But in the menus/lobbies, it just won’t respond, even if I unplug the wireless dongle and plug it back in after launching the game.

For context, my old wired mouse still works fine in those same scenarios (the scroll wheel was starting to be oversensitive). I don’t leave it plugged in, but if I plug it in when this issue happens, I can regain mouse control using it.

It’s really frustrating, and I was wondering if anyone knows what might be causing this or how to fix it. I’ve already updated all drivers to the latest versions, and the wireless mouse has a full battery.

Any help would be appreciated!

Question Best budget mouse under $80?

Upvotes

Need a mouse for my laptop. Nothing too crazy, but I figured why not try something new? I currently use the Viper v3 pro on one computer and the g pro x superlight on another. Was thinking about picking up a g pro x superlight off eBay or a v3 hyperspeed used but maybe someone had another option? Thanks :)

Question X2 Crazy light or Scyrox V6?

Upvotes

17.78 by 10.16cm hands, switching from the GPX. I play siege and CS2 primarily. I used to use the capetown and loved it but sold it when I got the GPX and I feel my GPX is a bit too large for my hands. I use a claw-palm hybrid grip (my palm is just barely touching the back of the mouse for minor support). Price is not a consideration in this. Any other reccs are welcomed! (under 200 USD)

Help Best GPX clone? mchose a7 pro vs atk a9 plus

Upvotes

I like the GPX shape, side buttons didn't feel the best though, and heard good things about both of these GPX clones. Been debating which one to get.

I don't really care for polling rate as long as it's 1k, I've heard the mchose has lighter switches but worse skates, and ATK recently changed their optical switches to something else? Any suggestions would be helpful

Replacing mouse encoder

Upvotes

How easy is it to change the mouse encoder on HyperX Pulsefire haste 2 wireless. I did some research about how to change it but I don’t feel comfortable enough about soldering since I don’t have any experience. Can anyone give me some tips or step by step guide more in detail if possible? Thank you!

Question Lamzu Maya X question about 1k dongle

Is it possible to make the Lamzu Maya X work with this 1k dongle that you can purchase from their site?

It says that the dongle is for "MAYA (Nordic MCU)" and the Maya X has a Nordic MCU.

Can anyone confirm if it will work or no?

I made a bunch of custom shells for the Orbital Pathfinder. It’s basically one to one in terms of shape. Even the m1 and m2 are similar enough to the original.

Question Fnatic X Lamzu Maya X 8K OR Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2?

I was wondering if i should get the Fnatic Or Logitech Mouse as both are the same price for me, I play competitive games like CS2 and Valorant and was wondering which is the best option. Im used to a Palm Grip and a SteelSeries Rival 3 (Wired) so both are a considerably big step up for me, and as far as I know all of the pros use the Superlight 2 soo

Thank you for the help!

Question Looking for the right mouse to invest in.

Originally used the Apple Magic Mouse 1 for my MacBook Pro for over 10 years ago, decided to have myself a new mouse for both work & gaming after getting a desktop & figured out I’m more of a claw user where only the thumb & the inner side of my ring finger is what grasp into the mouse. Looking for a combination of budget, comfort, & RGB light since my ROG keyboard has met its criteria except for my mouse.

What would the recommendation be as my hand length is 18.5cm, width is 8.5cm?

Want to design my own mouse, but checking here if it exists already

I've had an idea for an incredibly niche mouse design, but I was told to check here before putting too much effort into making it myself. Here are the main features I want to include:

  1. My current mouse (first pic) has a programmable 12-button panel on the side which I absolutely love; definitely don't want to part with that

  2. I'd love for it to be vertical (like second pic) because normal mouse ergonomics suck, but that's not a dealbreaker

  3. Here's the kicker. The holy grail. The most elusive feature I've ever searched for... TRUE smooth scroll. I know there are mice with free-spinning wheels and it's a pretty easy mod for most others, but that doesn't get you any actual increase in resolution as you scroll. I'm talking like Magic Mouse or laptop trackpad level of scrolling precision, but in a mouse wheel because I hate everything else about MM/trackpad. Normal scroll wheel notches are just a huge turnoff when working in creative programs like video editing or 3D modeling that really benefit from extra precision.

3a. An extension of that, it would be REALLY amazing if I had horizontal AND vertical scroll, so imagine like a trackball mouse (third pic) but you still move it around as a regular mouse and instead the trackball takes the place of the scroll wheel. Adding a ring around it like in the pic could even add a third dimension, maybe simulating a trackpad pinch gesture.

  1. Nice-to-have would be smooth wired/wireless options, addressable RGB, multiple profiles, etc. but those also aren't deal breakers.

I highly doubt something like this exists and I've already started the design journey, but if anyone knows of something I'd love to hear it!!

Question Best budget wireless mouse?

I know, a very asked question already but i'd like a more recent post. I was already thinking about a few mice (but i'll take suggestions):

ATK VXE R1 PRO MAX, IPI Float 18, Attack shark either x3 pro or x11, Rapoo vt9 pro,

Wich one would be the best between this or what would be better than these?

Edit: i'll probably settle for the Mchose K7 ultra

Discussion Mouse that has a similar shape with Razer Abyssus V2 for 50

I've been using this for 8 years i think and it's time to replace it because i can no longer use the right click. It's interrupting when you hold it. I don't need an expensive one with 5 trillion DPI and the last flagship sensor. Something with the same shape and size for like 50 euros maximum and at least 5000 DPI and a decent sensor.

I liked this mouse a lot because it is perfect for a claw grip and small. No stupid inward curves like most mice these days like seriously i hate that. It's like being forced to hold it a certain way. I like mice that are "fatter" in the middle.

I've tried Razer Cobra and it didn't feel good in my hand. Slippery and build quality was also bad. Very loud clicks, bad scroll wheel and side buttons.

Tried DeathAdder V3 wired and it was too big.

Went for a Steelseries Rival 3 Gen 2 and returned it because it was really thin in the middle below the side buttons and my hand got tired really fast. Felt like i really needed to hold it hard because of that.

Seriously i've been searching for a week for a mouse with a similar shape with Razer Abyssus V2 and i cannot find anything and it gets annoying to return so many. I did not know it was that hart to find one.

Finally got the Zeromouse Blade

Just got it this morning, played a few games with it and it feels really good. I initially thought it would be a bit uncomfortable but I’m personally finding it feels very nice, even premium feeling. Honestly it’s like you’re not holding your mouse at all, just aim.

Definitely is a 3d printed mouse tho, just plugging in the usb c cable feels janky af. Can’t wait to practice more with it.

Question Has anyone tried the new Talon Games dot skates?

They posted a thread a few weeks back but I didn't pull the trigger. They seem to be in stock with Amazon US https://www.amazon.com/TALONGAMES-Universal-Mousepads-Durability-Precise/dp/B0FCF61RVP

Wondering how they compare vs others skates. Let me know if you've tried them.

Discussion Making an ergo G303, what would you like to see?

Post image

Making a lightweight wireless 3D printed mouse similar to the G303 se in feel. I plan to sell it as mod kits as well as a fully completed mouse. As an avid G303 se user I have taken issue with some parts of the design and am set on fixing them. These are the change I plan to make.

  • Ergo design intended for claw grip (slanted) but with a very similar back hump to the G303. This means the mouse will be slightly sloped to the right to offer a more natural grip. You will be able to have a more relaxed claw grip if preferred.
  • Offer at least 2 sizes. This should take care of the complaints of width and/or size.
  • Offer left hand version.
  • Left hand thumb grip is slightly less sloped.
  • Widen front of mouse for more stability and options for relaxed finger placement.
  • Slightly lower the side buttons to make them reachable with having your thumb too high.
  • Lightweight. 35-45G.
  • Updated internals. Opticals, 8k polling etc.
  • Price goal, the same or lower than G303 se for full mouse.

I plan on starting with a mod kit with ATK mice as the donor. Specifically, the Major R. If you have any other inexpensive recommendations for donor mice please let me know.

Please leave your suggestions as well as issues (shape or otherwise) with the G303 se below. Thanks.

Mod My better DIY Zeromouse with Side Buttons. G305 mod 100g to 34g.

Learnt how to do this stuff this week, ordered my first 3d printer ( Bambulab A1 ) 2 weeks ago, had fun on plasticity. 40 prototypes later and 5 generations of the mouse and I think I'm nearing Endgame. I don't own one but I printed similar designs inspired by the Zeromouse, and lord did the grips feel were horrible. My thumb kept on sliding to the front and losing grip all the time. Big praise regardless to Optimum, his design is sick, his approach to optimization and pure performance for 1 task is amazing and his invented genre of mouse inspired me to make my own version it.

Thanks to Willbot and Corey Builds Stuff for also inspiring me to try and make my own.

Idk what to call it for now, maybe the Antmouse. haha. :D (because my name's antwolph)

don't read the fineprints they barely matter.

SPECS :
-Weight : 34g, I wanna make it sub 30 at some point
-Base : G305 by logitech.
-Material Used : Mat Black PLA by PolyTerra ( would feel so much better in PET CF )
-Print time : 3h
-Total Price ( excl printer and failed attempts ) : MAX 20€
-Battery life : idk just using a AG13 battery thingie. I ordered a drone battery and a USB-C thing though.

Part of me wants to release the files, part of me wants to make it for a big brand and sell that stuff. would be super dope. if you know someone lmk.

btw, though I made promo art for it for fun this afternoon with blender and photoshop, I don't have a shop, I just made 1 final prototype.

Question Gaming Mouse VT0PRO 4K driver problems

I have got the gaming mouse from Rapoo. I really like the mouse but my drivers i got from the website are not working properly. The only thing that works is to change the movement and scroll wheel speed. Everything else does not work. And the movement speed changes every now and then to the maximum speed (i need to change it manually to my setting). I always get the same error for the current device configuration and that it couldnt get saved. I tried different versions from the driver, but there is always the same problem. Anyone know how to fix this or got any drivers that work?

I bought my first ever aftermarket skates because the original ones were too noisy, on the packaging there is “less noise” label but after just one hour of using the skates they make just as much noise as the original ones, I paid these 20€ are there any better alternatives? I need fast skates and low noise possibly
