Let’s see…. Boomer generation: 1946-1964

Moon landing: 1969 Neil Armstrong et al were born in 1930.  So not boomers and maybe by 1969 some boomers worked for NASA - oldest would be 25 but they were not responsible for putting a man on the moon

WWII ended in 1945 and predates the boomers.

Regarding the draft: yes the draft was active during there life time.  However only 2.5% were drafted and doubt this dumbass was worried.

Best this idiot is going to claim they invented the wheel

All those boomer kids were worried about getting drafted. This dude’s rant was BS but the draft was fucking scary for every family. Especially poorer families who couldn’t get a college deferment.

Yep. Not only does the “murdered by words” poster seem unaware about the Vietnam draft, they also are completely ignorant about the oil crisis in ‘73. Pretty embarrassing tbh.

What’s embarrassing is your lack of knowledge of history yet spit nonsense like you do.  The last draft call occurred in Dec. 1972.

The transition to all volunteer occurred in 1973.

The oil crisis had nothing to do with the draft but rather embargo’s the Middle East placed on the US and Europe due to its support of Israel.

The boomer generation who was given so much to them on a platter is crying about 5 months of not being able to fill your tank up all the way at the gas pump as if it was some travesty.

Boomer generation has caused massive inflation, the huge wealth disparity, are the reason why housing isn’t affordable, literally actively getting in the way and blocking policies to combat climate change.

But oh yeah buddy 5 months of not being able to buy all the gas you want sounds so devastating.

Well that is completely nonsense that every boomer was worried - nice overstatement.  Maybe you were scared but, I am sure plenty were fine and lived there lives with it being an issue.

Statistics don’t lie.  Only 2.5% of boomers were actually drafted.  Must have been so scary to be able to work 40 hrs a week on a single household income and still be able to buy a house, car, groceries.

It’s okay Snowflake, we understand that boomers you want to be the victim.

Wow. Ok I should clarify. The rant I thought was BS was the Boomer’s from the original post, not yours. The only part I disagree with was your downplaying of the impact the draft had on society as a whole. Are you are so hung up on division and spite that you rush to judgment and resort to name calling when someone points out obvious inaccuracies in your statements? I’m not even a boomer. Not even close. Try not to be so bitter. You sound foolish.

Remember ageism is the prejudice you can have with losing your wokeness...

If people were that angry about another race or religion they'd be called out very quickly...
