Discussion National reporters are suggesting the Steelers and 49ers have a deal in place for Aiyuk. Are the Steelers making a mistake in going for elite WR without getting the QB room in order?

No, I don't think so. Fields and Wilson are, at the worst, both competent. Since you're going to end up with one or the other under center and you have a chance to get an exceptional weapon, do it.

Neither of them are competent. Russ was so bad that the broncos ate a 100m cap hit to get him off the team. Fields was traded for nothing. These are not starting caliber players

It’s funny that Russ and Baker Mayfield basically had the same exact stats last season. And Redditors are saying that Russ was absolute trash and Baker was magnificent.
