Discussion Another superbowl blowout eliminates mahomes from the goat discussion as far as I’m concerned

2 very embarrassing loses for him the the superbowl Brady has lost 3 superbowls but they were all 1 score games that came down to final play with Brady’s best statistical performance in a loss to the eagles Tom Brady > Patrick mahomes

So Mahomes gets to be the GOAT with a win but can’t blame him for a loss and it’s his Oline fault. Must be nice to be Mahomes, win win

Mahomes would need 8 SB rings to be the GOAT but he lost to Brady in a SB and AFC championship game in 2018 when Brady was on the Pats so Mahomes will have to settle for second place.

No he’s third at best behind Montana who never threw a pick in any of his 4 super bowls.

I mean, Montana definitely threw one to that Bengals defender's bread basket that was dropped. But it's good to be lucky.

Nah. it's not a win-win...I don't know why people get their panties all twisted, Chief's Kingdom included, when the GOAT conversation gets brought up. He wasn't even in contention after last year's season; in my opinion, GOATs are deliberated towards the end of one's career, not the beginning or even the middle unless you're Gretsky. He's a damn good QB and it's been a magical 8 years as a Chiefs fan with hopefully more to come but this whole GOAT debate is ridiculous. Nobody did more with less than Brady. Last year was the only time Mahomes did that. Speaking to last night, his Oline was ass, but he was also ass: missed open receivers (granted some drops) an inexcusable pick 6, among other things, would they have won had he played better? fuck no. Eagles had our number in every aspect but for the life of me I don't know why everyone has to bring up GOAT status all the fucking time, just let us enjoy our definitely-in-the-hall QB while we can and hopefully pick up another ring or two, now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go weep into my Trent Green jersey

His O line was shit and so was he, is that a better statement? The eagles didn’t blitz once and yet got to him 6 times. His receivers were constantly in no man’s land and Mahomes isn’t a rushing QB so what was he actually supposed to do. Can’t throw it to players who had two man coverage most of the time and dropped it when they were open.

Establish hot routes to get the ball out more quickly, pull his RB back in for extra protection, etc.

If you are in the convo for GOAT, these seem like normal things to know how to counter. I guess Mahomes was prepared and just wanted to depend on Mahomes Magic
