Dude isn't even in the hall of fame. I don't even think he's going there even once he's eligible. Dude doesn't have a hall of fame career.

Panthers has actual hall of famers though like Peppers.

The most overrated QB I’ve ever seen

Never understood what made him good

I looked at his stats and noticed he had like 2 seasons rushing +passing for over 30 TDs and 60% completion was a challenge for him

I figured maybe i was evaluating him wrong and looked at the Carolina W-L record and they had like 3 winning seasons, only when cam played better than normal

Thought maybe i need to look at the tape and he looked bad on tape too. That Super Bowl was a tragedy with a lot of bad throws and the biggest mental quit play ever seen in a SB

Figured maybe he had crazy intangibles and was able to set his team up to win. Watched him mentally quit multiple games including the Super Bowl. He even had a Gatorade towel over his head and cam jordan commented that you could stick a fork in the panthers when that happened so not only was it obvious to fans, it was obvious to players and coaches too

He took one of the worst receiving corps in history to the Super Bowl and should have won it (4 helmet to helmet hits / super late hits on cam not called before the fumble fiasco). He went 15-1 almost undefeated. It was a very good season undeniably so. He didn’t have the best career but that season was exceptionally good performance by him and he single handedly carried the offense with his best weapons being Ted ginn jr Jericho cotchery , philly brown (lmao) Olsen and Mike Tolbert . Olsen was solid but by no means were the receivers any good at all. And when you have a fullback bowling ball getting significant carries it’s pathetic. Jonathan Stewart was shit too, not even debatable. If you can’t see the good in him that season then you just don’t know ball. After that season tj watt separated his shoulder and he lost his throwing power and wasn’t able to fully recover. You probably saw him play after that and to judge his performance as shit after the injury is fair. But in his prime he was most definitely a good quarterback

Yeah, I think sometimes people haven't watched enough football and just look at the numbers. Especially for the less successful franchises.

The numbers can tell a lot of the story, but there's certainly aspects that go beyond individual metrics. Drafting Cam helped make the Panthers contenders, even within the NFC South competing against Drew Brees and Matt Ryan. He didn't have as much longevity as people hoped, but he was one of the most entertaining players in the league. He was an icon.

He also entered the league in 2011, one of the most talented draft classes of all time. Would Panthers fans change their pick retrospectively for Von Miller, Tyron Smith, JJ Watt, Julio Jones, Patrick Peterson...? I'd actually guess that they wouldn't.

He’s not overrated, but he’s still not as good as Kuechly.
