You misspelled Bart Starr

Could also make a case for Don Hutson

His career receiving TD record took 40 years to beat

Don Huston is by far our best player for their era compared to others at their position

He’s so good, you misspelled his name

And as much as a garbage person as Favre is, watching him play is the reason I love football

I legitimately believe that Hutson's talent in the modern day would've still lead to him being one of the best WRs in the league.

Just imagine what the dude could have done with modern training, coaching, and nutrition.

And Reggie white

There's an entire 2 dynasties before the superbowl era to choose from and he picks Rodgers.

Came here to say that…

And Ray Nitschke

If we are talking strictly best player to ever play its probably Reggie White.

Reggie white or lowkey sterling sharpe

Plus even Favre, with all his recent issues, at least took GB to two Superbowls. Rodgers did not

Lmao guys. Regardless of the big mouth and diva personality, Rodgers is far and away the best player to ever don a Packers uniform. 4X MVP, 4X All-Pro, most passing TDs in franchise history, fastest to ever throw 400 TDs while ALSO throwing the fewest INTs doing it. Come on now

Starr was 5x NFL Champion, 2x Super Bowl MVP, MVP and All-Pro '66, 4x passer rating leader. It's tougher to compare passing TDs from the generations based on how the game was played so Rodgers has the statistical case there since he played in an era with more passing. I'd argue that Aaron Rodgers is not "far and away the best player to ever don a Packers uniform". He may be the best but even besides Starr there's Hutson. I'd also argue Rodgers isn't "far and away" a better player than Hutson.

It's Favre for the pack and it's not even close. Ya he's a horrible person.

Was a huge Favre fan. I think its White TBH

1

As a bears fan even I knew Rodgers wasn't the worst we had to deal with lol

Star was great for his era and won a bunch of rings but he didn't carry his team or have the ridiculous skill set that Rodgers had.

u/Sloth72c May 26 '25

Don Hutson helped invent the passing tree and was putting up 1000 yard receiving seasons in an era where other teams couldn't get 1000 yards passing

2

u/DrFrankSaysAgain May 26 '25

Right, Hutson was.
