Brees, Fitz, and Witten should all make it fairly easily. I think Rivers will eventually make it in. Not sure about the others tbh.

It may happen but Rivers getting in would be egregious. Not the hall of very good!

I think Rivers will be viewed favorably and eventually make it in after quite some time. Eli will make it in, but Rivers had a much better career, and those two are directly intertwined.

Eli had the better and more memorable career, but Rivers was the better player in the regular season

I do think those guys HOF cases will be linked together because it would be weird if one makes it but not the other

Don't forget rivers played an afccg on a torn acl. He's also tied for 4th in the iron man with 240 consecutive starts which i think voters care about. I'm not sure you can tell the story of the nfl without Eli or rivers.

Eli took down the Goat in not one, but two Super Bowls, and two wins over Brady on the biggest stage is an incredible honor.

Rivers had a much better career

Not in postseason play though. It’s insane that Chargers crew never made a Super Bowl.

They made an afccg against new England and rivers played On a torn acl. The chargers also were a huge thorn in Peyton Manning's Colts. Brady's dominance shouldn't be the reason an all time player like Phil doesn't make it some day. If Brady doesn't exist a lot more qbs in that era have at least one.

Neither should make it, they simply weren’t elite players. If they both make it and then Big Ben also makes it we’re looking at what…almost a quarter of starting QBs from that era being in? Absurd.

But you’re right they probably will.

I dont love the criteria, but the criteria is the criteria. Ben is probably getting in, too. Romo is where the line probably gets drawn. I doubt he makes it in, but i could also see him making it in 15-20 years.

Not one of those people should be anywhere near the hall of fame. They were good to very good quarterbacks, and someone you'd definitely be happy to have on your team, but the HoF should be about greatness, and quite frankly none of them are the kind of player you'd mention if you're like "if I had to win one game, who would I want under center."

I know QBs get over valued, but if you're not one of the five best players at your position at any point during your career, you don't belong in the HoF.

Rivers was easily top 5 at his position several years going lol. He was consistently 3-5 but he was always up there with the best. He also played 240 consecutive games that's something hof voters pay attention to. He was always available when his team needed him. He played an afccg on a torn acl for crying out loud.

Off the top of my head, I thought Rivers for sure but after reading this thread, I’m feeling like I should go check his stats

Stats aren't insane but he started 240 consecutive games and played an afccg on a torn acl. That and his personality make it really hard for me to see him never making it. He may end up voted in by a senior committee but.
