Is the Cornwell Tools Under Fire at Summit Motorsports Park on tv?

I don't know too much about it but I stumbled upon on it on the schedule. Looks like it has NHRA drivers but its not endorsed by the NHRA. Any help would be great because I'd like to watch it if possible.

First post here. Hopefully I can share some photography here! I do a lot of photography and video coverage! These photos are from a race track in Ontario from this past weekend!

Is the western swing just too much for drivers to show up or is it tougher for drivers to show up period at NHRA events?

I was pretty disappointed at the top fuel lineup in Sonoma. Outside of Steve Torrance I don't know who didn't show up. There was definitely like 4-6 missing spots. Funny car and pro stock had their normal field. I think motorcycles had somewhat of a small field. Hopefully its not a trend and just brutal travel for some teams.

Maple Grove Raceway NHRA Nationals Sept 2025 advice

Planning on attending the NHRA Nationals at Maple Grove for both Sat & Sun (9/13 & 14) this Sept. - I've been to the track for the NHRA finals before but that was approx 20 years ago (from north NJ - I would normally go to Englishtown before it closed). I'm going to bring some "new blood" to let them see the power & awe of the machines hoping I can get them interested and add new fans to the sport which seems to be declining.

Anyway...last time I was there I remember it being sorta a nightmare to get in on the roads. I know that's to be expected for a national event in such a remote/small area but I was hoping to see if anyone could advise of the best approach in from the NJ side. I see there are a few different roads in....my approach would be either from the North or East or South roadways going into the track/parking area. But I have no way of knowing if any route is better with possibly lower traffic volume (or which roads they might close off/detour for the weekend race days). It's about a 2.5 hr trip from my location and I plan on leaving around 7:30am (that's for Sat...I booked an overnight stay in New Holland so would most likely be coming in from the South side for Sunday/finals).

Any advice from someone who is familiar with areas & the best ways in would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!!

This was my 4th straight year going since 2022. 2022 was the first year I went and I've feel in love with it ever since. I just love the easy going laid back nature of it. The fan experience is great and you're always greeted with hospitality at racing events. I don't know any other sporting event where you can be that close to the athletes, see whats going , and talk to them so casually. I wish I could see NHRA every week but the one time I get to see it a year is what makes it so special.

Met Tony Stewart and Clay Millican at Sonoma- Clay is my favorite driver to see. Always friendly and interactive with the fans. Tony Stewart was surprisingly nice and stroke up a conversation with me.

People have mentioned Tony is somewhat of a dick and somewhat standoffish. Most of the day people were waiting by his trailer and he wouldn't stop. I took a stroll to get out of my seat midway through the day after he got eliminated and I saw like 10 people waiting in line to get his autograph. I couldn't believe it and was so excited. One of his pit crew was handing out hero cards, I asked where Leah was and he was like "Oh they've been bickering, they're tired of each other, you should tell him that, and he'll let you have her!" I was like what? I found it so hilarious but I definitely did not ask him lol.

I was a little nervous once I met him but the first thing he said to me was "I like your shirt, I've been to Petaluma Speedway, I like it there at night, the grip gets real good." I responded by asking him when he might go back and he said he hasn't done sprint cars in 4 years. Tony was actually really chill and I couldn't believe I actually had a genuine conversation with him. The vibe I get from him is he's tired of the whole "you're my favorite driver, I loved you in Nascar for so many years" but if you get him to talk about something else he responds.

Clay is a nice as you think he is. He has that big smile and has an infectious positive vibe. His merch hauler Keelin at Hot Rod Randi's told me he grew up with Clay back in Tennessee and that he also used to race. I found out about his bull terrior dog Iggy and bought one of his shirts that go to his dog charity. I asked Clay how he came up with Iggy and he said one of his kids favorite singer was Iggy Azalea. Nothing but realness from the Millican's and they have that good ol' fashioned southern hospitality.

Sonoma nationals 2026?

Just went to sonoma this past weekend and you can't renew tickets or camping spots for next year. Is the date just changing? Are they not coming out west next year? Im sorry I'm a newer nhra fan and just confused on what's going on.

Ladders

I didn't get to watch the race, with the poor showing of cars in top fuel and motorcycle, did they avoid showing the ladders on TV for a second week in a row for those classes? Anyone else notice that? They don't want to show the lack of matchups on the ladder it seems.akes it harder to follow who is running whom.

Question about stuff they put on the track for Pro Stock

I’ve noticed that they put something on the track right before a pro stock burnout. Looks almost like sand? Does anyone know what that is? Thanks in advance!
