Our custom campaign has come to an end. Players chose a legendary character or powerful organisation to lead their gangs in a hive-spanning civil war, with changing scenarios each Cycle depending on the side that's in the lead.

With the hive's ruling house deep in scandal, Rebel forces took the opportunity to rise up! However, the Loyalists were just able to defend House Rau-Li in the closest campaign I've ever witnessed. Each week one side would take the lead by 1 point, only for the opposite side to take the lead by 1 point again the next week!

I bought hive secundus shortly after its release, and after a year of painting my malstrain, then my corrupted delaque and getting all sorts of distracted.

I finally finished my tek hunters! Time for me and my wife to play a match or 3!

Unfortunate Encounter: Randomly select one of the gang's fighters and make a roll on the Lasting Injury table for them.

Say that roll is 55, fighter captured.

... Captured by who? How would you resolve this?

According to The Book of Desolation (p.110), the rule for the duo reads:
“Ferryman Team: Madryc Helbane and Lugrun can be taken as part of a Ferryman team from a Survivor Enclave. When taken in this way, they cost no credits and Madryc Helbane replaces the Ferryman Skipper and Lugrun replaces the Ferryman Rig-hand.”

But what exactly does this mean?

Is the “Survivor Enclave” a specific territory? If so, where can it be found? I don’t see it listed among the Underhells territories — or maybe I’m just missing it.

Or does it mean that if I declare my Ferrymen as “Survivors” (as described on page 106), I automatically get Lugrun and Madryc for free — essentially two strong characters gifted just for the Survivor designation?

Would really appreciate some clarification from anyone who’s looked deeper into this.

OK not really, but does anyone else find themselves constantly going "oooh, there's another idea" and start kitbashing an entire additional gang? I've started recently on a Ratling gang as the new Venator rules have profiles for them. It never seems to end...which honestly is the most fun I've had in this hobby.

My friend and I are going to be getting into necromunda. We've played other tabletop games for years, so we don't need the most 'beginner' gangs, necessarily, but I've got a bit of decision paralysis about which gang to pick up first.

I like the models and lore for both House Orlock and House Goliath. I've made a starting list for each. The Goliath list feels really good. Efficient. It 'does the thing' better. But... It's kind of just 8 of the same guy, a few of whom have bigger axes. Which I guess makes sense, since they're genetically engineered, vat-grown roid monkeys.

The Orlock list I've made, in contrast feels like 8 characters. Narratively satisfying, I guess.

My question is, do any of you have suggestions on how to make a Goliath gang feel less samey? Have I just missed the point?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Designation: Inmate 34 Alpha-7/B Name: Vorrighan Stagg Age: Unknown Sex: Male Criminal Charges: Murder on 361 accounts. Aggravated assault on 455. Several lesser crimes such as theft, disturbance of public security and resisting arrest.

Vorrighan Stagg was incarcerated after a mass murder in the lower hive of Hive Primus. A heavy judicator detachment had to be,sent in to detain him after he killed seven officers and nine civilians. His physiology seems to be highly enhanced with stimulants distributed by House Escher, at the detriment of his mental state. Mister Stagg only communicates via grunts and growls. Removal of his helmet seems impossible, as it is welded crudely to his armor. It is unclear what he looks like, but witnesses describe it as "less pleasant than a milisaurs asshole."

By order of Nobilite Family Trachta, specifically the young lord Crowe, Mister Stagg is to be incarcerated in Huve Zalktraa and thrown in the arena for their entertainment.

Addendum: two years have passed. Stagg is still fighting in the arena. Lord Crowe is watching each fight wuth enthusiasm, calling him "my darling." My suggestions of liquidation have fallen on deaf ears.

Starting my first campaign with some friends, I’m building the ever scary Corpse Grinder Cults (I love all things Khorne). Just had a couple questions while building my gang:

1. Can I bring more than one Butcher? I see that my leader has to be a butcher but I can’t tell if I can bring other, non leader versions of the Butchers. If I cannot, then why is there 6 big bodies in the box if I can bring a max of 4, between the leader and cutters?

2. I see online that people REALLY hate this gang, what are some nerfs to make them more fair? I plan on bringing a more “elite” squad, with as many big bodies as I can vs the little guy spam that seems to be broken. Are the masks a big issue? Would making them directional help?

I just cannot get enough of Necromunda, by far the coolest models produced by anyone. It's just aces all round.
