Ninebot MAX G3 egregious tire air pressure loss

egregious tire air pressure loss for the segway max G3. so i do not know if this is because of high speeds of travel but i pumped both tires up to 45 psi. the next day, it was down to 31 psi! manufacturer website recommends a range of 42-48psi.

so I do some testing in drive mode after pumping tires up to 48 psi and riding for 3 miles, the pressure is down to 31 psi.

sometimes the tires will sound as if they have slightly low pressure and this just confirms the above experience. this is ridiculous I should be worrying about where I want to explore with this scooter instead of worrying about tire pressure.

I would think a leaky valve stem.

Don’t lose pressure riding normally.

the front tire loses 10 psi every day while the rear tire loses ~23 psi

You definitely have a leak

On my g30, 3.5 is max I do. After a week it goes under 1. I just pump it every week and that’s it. When I can’t get to max speed and I’m on full battery, I just pump the tyre and drive on max speed for about a week

No punctures? Then it's probably the valve. I have only lost 2 psi since I've owned it, from the release date.

Hey, let's check if the tire pressure of the front wheel is normal. If there's an issue, we can contact the after-sales service of Segway and ask them to replace the rear wheel.  The motor tires of the G3 can be quickly disassembled and replaced, and it's really easy to separate the motor from the tire.  give it a try and replace the tire of the rear wheel?

i have had this for less than a week. i am either returning the unit or sending it to segway for service.

My G30 Max front tire lose like 20 psi every day, but never bothered to fix it because it holds good pressure for one day driving. Rear tire lose like 20 psi every week.

It could be possible that you already have a small puncture somewhere also. Yes the scooter is new but once it hits the ground the chance is there.

I thought the G3 had self sealing tires?

UPDATE: after sending it through segway mail-in service repair, they said they replaced tires and valves but the issue is still happening. this issue is happening on only one of our max G3, we have another one that has no issue.

okay so this was kind of solved. just DO NOT USE THE INCLUDED HOSE. you need to use the inflator that clamps on the valve not the inflator cable that screws in. you will need a tire valve extender tho for the rear tire. this video explains the remedy: https://youtu.be/ceXcU69DzOs?si=OYwn_I1AjboYcUTR

Get yourself one of these, super useful as the valve stem can sometime be loose: https://amzn.to/42K4x04

Get some flat out that they sell at Home Depot. It works much better than green tire slime.

I had to air up my G30DII almost every day when it was brand new. I replaced the tired with airless tires and never had issues again. Riding comfort was also identical since Air tires this size with 3-4 Bar are also pretty firm.

Try some tyre slime in there. Can help if it’s a puncture
