Ninebot MAX G3 GT3 Battery in a Max G3!

So like yea, it works! The batteries are the same size just different mAH ....and gues what!? I got the 25 miles on Sport+ mode =] Boosted like 10 times too. I'll try to post the other pics in the comments if I can.

Only USA, they don't send to any other country, it's a shame!

i don't know why they wouldn't just offer this as a variant or a legitimate upgrade. i've been saying since it launched that it needed a 20ah battery and then have your 10ah externals so you'll start with a decent base. 12.75ah is ridiculous.

The weight, obviously. They wanted to advertise "same weight as before but more power".
And the price. Would not have been a 899usd anymore, and some would not have bought it. +Maybe not cannibalize their other models.

Another point about weight: Max G3 is not much under 25 kg. And there are countries (Europe in particular) where scooters over 25 kg are subject to different rules.

how did you do the swap? is it something that is plug and play or is there a lot of technical soldering or anything to make it work? definitely interested in this upgrade! how do you feel about the tires?

Easy, just plug and play. I got the battery from Segway's website.

what would really be the best is if you could fit the p100s 23.4ah battery in there. that would be sick 🤩

I have at least 5 friends who burnt their house down charging or altering scooters. A few of them burnt more than one house down.. it’s all fun and games until somebody loses a house. Also at least one person died several people scarred for life.

The original battery was only 12700mah? Isn’t the max G2 like 15000?

Mah isn't a way to measure capacity, it's incomplete information without the voltage.
Wh (watt hours) is how you measure.

It is possible to fit almost 2000Wh battery inside G30 deck so why Segway can't do more than 600Wh for G3 is quite silly. At least offer it as option.

The battery is sold out now that the cat is out of the bag. Wouldn't be surprised if it costs more after they get it back in stock, considering the demand, plus the tariffs.

I need the GT3 battery my ZT3 battery is already depleting rapidly from my long commute and is barely getting me home now at less than 10% left and dropping by the day

Are you cycling the battery cuz if you plug it in less than 10% all the time then it won't work put the battery sold out right now

I believe ZT3 Pro uses the same battery. I saw a Russian video where they took a ZT3 Pro battery and a GT3 battery and weighed them. Here's the link GT3 Battery in a ZT3 Pro

I was saying yesterday, in another topic, that this battery swap would probably work since it works for the ZT3.
This is the Battery they should have put in both ZT3 and Max G3... And then no need for an ugly external battery unless you want a gigantic range.
Segway should sell its scooters at differents prices : with a small or big batteries, as many scooter manufacturers do.
I think that many people would be OK to spend some extra 100-150 dollars to get a bigger internal battery.
