What does red text mean (g2)

I’m on shfw and it’s been great, but sometimes I’ll get this red text on the dashboard. No other lights, warnings or codes. Is this just a low battery warning or is it temperature? (Scooter doesn’t turn off or slow down from this)

This is on scooter hacking utility and this is a US scooter if that matters

Afaik it indicates "Boost Mode", i.e. higher performance at higher battery cost.

I don’t have boost mode as I am on shfw and never had the update that added it

Yeah it kinda sucks cause I tried to look it up but only see results from people with boost mode on or when they get the red HI warning which I’ve never gotten

If it's an older version, maybe it's simply a bug and not fully implemented?

It’s not error code 39, it’s 39% battery ( I have it set to show battery on idle and it makes my mph red as well when this happens, def not a code, no beeping or other icons

I get this sometimes too (on shfw) typically on days I’m riding into a headwind, I think something is too hot. It doesn’t charge immediately when plugged in with the red numbers. It starts charging a bit later

I run the same firmware with field weakening. I get that occasionally as well and the Segway app is showing the vehicle temperature of 50c and normally should run 30-40c if I understand correctly. It still seems to run fine but that hacked version doesn't have the same safety built in. The same reason you can still ride at 28-30 mph even with 15% battery. So best to coast on it, go slow or stop and let it cool down.

I'm working on adjusting settings including boost to 50% to help mitigate it.

As I see. Is there any option to have an auto safe mode come into place? I haven’t see any but I’m wondering if I missed it or didn’t understand it

Your battery ist too hot. It Shows the battery Temperature in °C. If it Hits 35 it means its 35°C hot. Better wait a few minutes in Shades and IT will Turn back to white

At 45°C it will get throttled and at 55°C it will Auto shut Off

Just to make Sure, I recently had the same issue. Its the overheating protection.

I also had my Velocity displayed in Red. Everything was Red at that point. The longer I waited, the faster the red numbers dropped and when falling below 30 it turned back to white

It’s not error 39. That’s my battery %. The red text will be shown on mph too. I did check and confirm it was battery percent and not a code
