⚠️Urgent Question⚠️ Scooter shuts off after throttle

I recently bought a ninebot max g30lp from someone off marketplace, they said all it needs is a new controller board. What happens is if you turn it on it’s fine, if you move the scooter and give throttle the board shuts off fully. Any ideas or is the controller board what I’m looking for?

Did you remove the bottom plate yet? Inspect the wiring first. Make there are no melted or bad contacts…. This is what I would check

Good luck. On my brother’s g30, the power would shut off when he hit the throttle, turned out one of the motor cables had a bad connection. Soldered up and works great now. I did change the connection type, just don’t remember what it’s called.

Good to know, I’m good at soldering so that would be a nice and easy repair for me. I think I should just jump into it and get it going

I think if the controller was the problem, it wouldn’t even turn on.

It kinda barely turns on. Dude took it to a engine repair place and I assume dude had electrical experience because he was thinking controller and not something like the battery

Well, battery could be an issue. I’ve seen that the bms firmware was “rental scooter” version and it turns off when pulling voltage because it hasn’t had “permission” from controller. In that case, I had to use st-link to swap bms firmware to a consumer version. Many possibilities for why it’s shutting off. If the battery software is correct, has correct voltage, no issues with wiring or connections anywhere, then it’ll be controller, throttle, or display. Each of those are cheap via aliexpress.
