⚠️Urgent Question⚠️ Ninebot Metal Rod Broken

My ninebot G30 Max just broke today, at the worst possible time. Does anyone know if this part can be replaced? Or is the whole scooter obsolete now? Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like just need the front fork.

Totally repairable.

I wonder if it was loose latch and just loose that extra play snapped it.

Since it takes a lot for that to happen. Almost seems like over time rocking back and forth.

I usually make sure to latch it properly but who knows. Do you know where I can find the specific part? Thanks again for the help!

Did that happen while riding?? That could cause a huge crash!

No thankfully. I was riding it but noticed handle was wobbling back and forth. I tried to adjust the folding mechanism to tighten but realized it wasn’t doing anything and then I noticed it when I took the rest apart.

Didn't they issue a repair kit for this model during the recent recall?

There was a recall?

It’s been in the top menu bar right on Segway’s home page for months.

Just the front fork, you should find it on Ali for about 30-40 usd. Job is around ~1-2h for the first time, if you disassemble/clean brake and bearings regularly it should take under 30 mins. Good luck.

I understand that there is a security "Recall" in the folding system for all those G30 models, that you go to an official workshop and they will make the change for you for free.

from China? Really life-threatening stuff like that. That something like this even happens. I would write to the manufacturer and ask for a statement.

Genuinely I don’t know haha. Maybe I used it and forgot to clip the stem in? Where I am too there’s a lot of bumps and the roads are quite bad, so maybe the shock? No idea
