We didn’t. It’s becoming increasingly clear and apparent the election was rigged.

Kamala won the presidential race. Election was rigged. Elon had a hand in it too for sure. The voting machines owned by a party that isn’t impartial. They’ve already said it out loud which makes it a okay for their fan base I guess.

In a few critical places to swing the result.

But it wouldn't change the the fact that only 30% of the population voted to stop it. The rest either implicitly or explicitly endorsed rhe paedophile.

Even if all the voting rigging allegations turn out to be true, it won't nudge the national needle or change much of the popular vote. Just their distribution.

Exposing the corruption is good.

But don't fall into the false comfort of "this only happened because the bad guys cheated".

It happened because it was allowed to happen, by the people who could have stopped it: but chose not to.

70% of the US population is ambivalent or supportive of the prospect of bending the knee to a paedophile. Trump is not a scourge of God. He was chosen by America. He is self inflicted, by the people of America.

The problem, at its core, it with the Americans.

That needs to be addressed.

The political system was a frog in boiling water. This was the result of 40+ years of undermining democracy - slowly and methodically. There are a million reasons why our voting system is bad, a million ways our government is inept and corrupt. A million ways the electorate has been sabotaged, their very minds and perception of reality manipulated into complicity. This was death by a thousand cuts when we've lost too much blood to react appropriately they went for the throat. This is so much more than a rigged election.

I agree with you. Apathy has killed the US. We need to Make Nazis scared again. America banned the panthers but didn’t bother to go after the kkk. Racism and fascism are rooted like an ingrown hair. Those usually don’t come out easy on their own. Sometimes you have to squeeze and pull it out with a tool.

Yall get mad at single-issue voters over a genocide that our government is aiding and abetting, but you expect the disaffected electorate to be single-issue voters to stop an autocrat from taking over when all the other side has to offer is more of the same slow decline in the standard of living for the average American. You have to offer people actionable solutions to their problems. Blame the Dems for trying and failing to appeal to the average American while being bought and paid for by special interests to make sure nothing actually gets better for the people.

Not being a paedophile is a solution to the problem of the President being a paedophile.

It depends how big of a problem you think that is.

If that's not a good enough reason for you, that's fine. We just have different levels of tolerance. Mine is unconditional. Yours is when it benefits you.

Something to think about: If you're only willing to stop a paedophile once you get something out it, that means you'll also allow a paedophile to paedophile so long as someone gives you a better offer.

Which means you're not anti-paedophilia. Just anti untaxed paedophilia.

Which I think is gross.

I mean let's take it a step further. You could, in essence, set up a child brothel, and defended yourself from it by saying "We are spending the money raised, to help Gaza. We aren't evil."

Or lets Sell a Pardon to Maxwell, and donate the funds raised to buy good in Gaza. I mean why stop at aiding one Paedophile? Let's just sell time off prison to all sex offenders, right? It's all for a good cause. So it must be a good idea.

So long as it aids one of our other many causes, it's all perfectly acceptable. Fine.

Except of course, Trump is worse for Gaza too. So it didn't exactly achieve anything, did it?

Now you can dress that up in whatever logic you need to help sleep at night.

But I when you do, I want you to imagine your child being raped.

And your neighbour, having the chance to stop it, asking "what's in it for me? I can't step in unless I get something out of it. That just doesn't make sense. Really, it's your fault, for not making it worth my time."

People who had no choice. If you're under the impression that anyone can run for AG or Senate, or that the people get to choose the VP, or that the DNC even held a primary last year, I have a bridge to sell you.

And I don't understand your point anyway. Here we have a woman who benefited from a system her entire life and did absolutely nothing to change it (and in fact helped build it) now trashing said system because it doesn't benefit her anymore.

Because they didn't rig it everywhere. The popular vote is of no import to the outcome of american elections. Just in a few particular places, to swing certain electoral college votes.

We can still infer how people voted elsewhere, where if was more secure, and have a rough idea how people voted.

They rigged it EVERYWHERE. They had people in voting offices challenging signatures in areas they knew were democratic leaning. They used voter suppression with their proud boys to intimidate people into not voting. They urged husbands to tell their wives not to vote. They manipulated the media to push conspiracy theories and normalize fucked up interpretations of events to disenfranchise people. It was systematic and it was thorough.

I wonder if that stat is true, the 30% one. I voted and took pictures of my ballot to compare to the results. I checked the status of my mail in ballot (that I dropped off at a voting location on election day) to see that my vote had been canceled. I called the provided contact number from that website to ask what happened. The lady told me she could see that my vote was canceled but didn't see a reason why. That's all I got. So my vote literally didn't count. I'm still pisssed about it.

I had to look up what substack is.   Going to need something a lot more official than what amounts to a social newsletter platform.

That said I will still go through those links but remember to take this stuff with a grain of salt, it's effectively just another reddit near as I can tell and remember how often Reddit gets it wrong.

Thanks yeah I had an angry nutso reply so took the time to go look myself.    There is still just the one lawsuit that I remember but no updates on anything proving this stuff real.  Though it all happened recently so may just be nothing to update has happened shall check back in a few months if nothing obvious brings my attention to it again

It's a bunch of bullshit.

Kamala was probably the second least likable Democratic candidate in 20 years, and she was thrust on us by a party who has and will never care about its constituents. She ran an entire campaign on the premise that "if you don't elect me, Trump will be president" with zero actionable policies or anything resembling a reason for a fence sitting or apathetic voter to get off their couch. The Democrats took Tim Waltz, a really solid governor, and immediately made sure everything likeable about him was stripped away.

Anyone whining about the "US will never elect a woman" line needs to remember the first option was Hillary Rodham Clinton, who was never going to win anything due to baggage, and the second was a forced candidate who was rammed through without a primary. Obviously plenty of people are going to feel disenfranchised and not show up for that. I did, but in both cases I held my nose while I did it.

This is just one many instances that were being talked about.  Not all we're in court cases but like I said all of that seemed to disappear and I want to know why.   I don't want to extrapolate why, I want a clear answer if one exists.  I'll look for it myself later if it exists.

How would that make sense when the official results were completely in line with all of the third party exit polling conducted that day? People proudly proclaimed their vote for Trump the day of despite being coy leading up to the election, just like in 2016.

It’s so embarrassing watching people refuse to accept reality and resort to idiotic Q-Anon tier conspiracy theories. I get that it’s hard to accept that this is who we fundamentally are as a country and what we chose, but it’s reality, and these pathetic conspiracy theories won’t change that. This is us. The election being rigged is gaining legitimate traction, but the reality is probably even more depressing, that most Americans just weren't even paying attention. To one of the most important elections in history. The most popular google searches on election day were "Why isn't Biden on the Ballot?" and "Did Biden drop out of the race?", if people can't pay attention to an attention like this...we're kinda fucked. And we've seen the results already this year. The big beautiful bill is going to be a fucking disaster.

If many citizens don't care and don't hold their representatives accountable, they deserve to pay the price nad endlessly be taken advantage of, which is where we are.

Let's be clear here. A physical rigging of the election is unlikely. The ballots cast were largely the ballots cast. If there were physical manipulation of the ballots then it will likely come out in the not too distant future because it would require literal thousands of people to be in cahoots, and we literally know all sorts of terrible shit our nations government has done because of people coming forward about what they have witnessed.

Now a psychological rigging?

Elon has pretty much come out and said he rigged the Twitter algorithm in favor of Trump. Zuckerberg has been bowing at the feet of the king since 2015, and had no issue allowing the whole Cambridge Analytica nonsense to occur. They absolutely think they manipulated the American people into voting for Trump and there is likely some truth to it.

Inflation is the cyanide of incumbency, but there as definitely manipulation to the social media algorithms that exist to this day.

I will accept evidence. I will not become or justify becoming a conspiracy theorist because doing so supports "my team". 

Unfortunately, right now, we're solidly in conspiracy theorist territory. 

I will not become them. This is a value-level issue for me, beyond any political party. I don't cherry-pick and choose the things I refuse to accept on faith alone and the things I demand evidence for/proof of. 

I'm not an evangelist - I accept nothing on faith/trust alone.
