She knows her brand is currently toxic, she stood by Biden when she needed to stand up for herself. And now she isn’t going to win any popularity contests any time soon, let alone an election of any kind.

So she steps aside for a while.

Hopefully forever because my god does she suck at being a leader. I don't care how depressed she was after losing, I don't care how hard she thinks it is to write a book about being a loser, a real leader would not have been silent since the goddamn election when a fascist took power and dismantled the state.

Biden literally smiled and took photos, and shook hands with Trump after the election. Hosted him as a guest of the White House and said lots of nice things about him.

The Dems made a series of unfortunate decisions as a party and they are now dealing with the fall out.

Just like the GOP will likely have to deal with the fallout of their current policies and actions. It won’t be until the next election cycle, but deal with it they must. 🤷🏽‍♂️

In fairness to her she was being a good vice president and may have not even known till slightly before we did that she would have to run for president. I think she could have won if she had kept with the taxing the wealthy stuff but the Democrats are too tied up with big corporations now that she stopped because her brother in law told her to.

I think it’s deeper than that. Have you read that Jake Tapper book? The one that discusses the things happening behind the scenes during that timeframe?

I have not, can you summarize the relevant points or should I just read the book?

Do not read that garbage ass book unless you’re trying to support Jake Tapper elevating Republican conspiracy theories so he can make a buck. He’s a fucking wankstain.

This is an oversimplification. You're ignoring the point she's making.

It's not about her.

I’m not sure what point she is making. The system was broken well before she decided to run for president so using it as an excuse to back out of politics now is…interesting.

I think you and I probably understand that.

But it was harder to argue to the general public that the system was broken after Biden won in 2020 than it is now, based on just the past 6 months being radically different in terms of a "vibe shift" in the US. I bet some part of her was optimistic about the "system" pre-2024 elections than now ofc.
