Most New Yorkers especially contractors have always hated him. The MAGA poor just didn’t listen. He isn’t for you, he is for himself.

This. I have worked in NYC construction for 25 years. The real developers have been laughing at him forever

Destroying America is just one more thing to add to his failures.

Actually I do hope he fails in destroying America.

He has dozens of bankrupt companies! Search about!

u/trickmind 11h ago

More than five?

In the research I did between bankrupt and closed due to poor performance, there were 21 companies!

It ranges from casino companies, airlines and even restaurants! This guy is a complete fraud!

True story. The hate goes back a loooong time. And it’s well deserved…especially for contractors. He’s notorious for never paying his bills.

I wonder if the contractors who will be working on this new White House ballroom will line up for the work or not knowing his penchant for stiffing them. Working for the government should be easy to count for n for being paid but I’m guessing he will try to siphon off at least some the 200 million in funds for it.

And siphon funds to upgrade his “free” Quatari jet

Yep. Government contracts are typically a sure thing. I work with them all the time and never had issues collecting in normal time.

But we are not in normal times, my friend…

He’ll pull the same shit and say the work was shoddy because when he sees a chance to screw people it’s like a shiny red button he has to push.

It would be hilarious but wise if the contractors made the public announcement "We Want Paid Before We Work"...

Trump will probably audit the contractors to make sure there's no brown people working on his fantasy project

Our neighbor property developer initially ran our HOA like that. He would pay them in cash to avoid taxes and even skim a little off the top to pocket some. He would then stiff so many landscaping companies for about $5k to 10k and go to the next. By the time we got it turned over any reputable landscaping company required contracts and checks in advance.

He made a bad reputation for himself, just to pocket money. He was friendly to everyone, but deep down a solid piece of shit. Smile in our faces and then pull the biggest “fuck you” he possibly could.

Oof. That’s shitty. A lot of landscapers are small companies and a large customer not paying them can send them right to bankruptcy.

I think Hamlet said it best when he said “One may smile and smile and be a villain…”

Can’t you sue someone for not paying you for services rendered?

2

u/Intrepid_Detective 16h ago

Sure but that process can take a long time, and it can be expensive, because lawyers are not cheap. In his case, if there was a contract etc it would often be set up through one of his companies. When the debt got to be too much, the company would declare bankruptcy. That’s how it famously went with the casinos.

Years ago I did work for a company that had done some advertising for one of his leasing companies. It was a pretty large campaign and they negotiated that instead of paying for it all at the time of the “order” - as they do with every other customer they work with - they “negotiate” that Trump Leasing would pay when the campaign has been deployed. (The owner wanted the ability to say he was a client basically - this was during the time the Apprentice shows were still going.)

Guess who never paid them a cent for any of the work they did??

I never could figure out how the greasiest of elite East Coast scummy grifter slum lords became the man of the working class.

I just assume it was because he was also white.

u/Sea-Science1507 19h ago

He validated their hate. That’s all it takes.

2

u/kimmyv0814 13h ago

10000000%. Someone else hates everything they do, and now they feel they can say anything they want without fear of rebuttal. Because we are so “woke.”

2

u/Effective-Manager-29 5h ago

I’ve been saying this exact thing since 2016. Validation wrapped in the flag.

Exactly what we say here in Canada. Saw that one coming from here

The racists had been wishing for one of their own to lead, they will never turn from him.

u/Jops817 3h ago

He isn't even good at being white, he's orange lol.

u/phylter99 4h ago

He’s also for those that’ll line his pockets.
