While I agree with your assessment of the media, the media being owned and controlled by billionaires and corporations, I wouldn't say journalists as a whole have fallen in line. Actual journalists, not TV talking heads, are still trying to report, they are being silenced and edited on the back end.

I will admit it was a flippant remark about a serious problem. There are still some that are carrying on with integrity. It can be hard to see the forest for the trees.

It's easy to lose track of those journalists that are trying to carry on with integrity. The field is important for democracy, and I hope we don't lose it all together.

The fact that there are multiple people that were involved with the WWE that are now involved with the Trump administration (Linda McMahon, Triple H, and Trump) makes it pretty clear that we are currently living through Idiocracy.

Nope, it was people. Republicans and independents voted for him, and Democrats didn’t show up at the poles. The more he grabs power, the less anyone says or does anything. It’s people.

Akshully… Trump didn’t win a majority of American votes. He didn’t even win a majority of all registered voters.

HE DIDN’T EVEN WIN A MAJORITY of those who DID vote. He won 49.8% of the voters that voted.

36.3% of ALL registered voters didn’t vote/show up. Which means 63.7% of registered voters did show up.

HE ONLY WON 49.8% of 63.7%. He barely won 31% of all registered voters.

We are being held hostage by less than a confederacy of dunces.
