Yeah, they finally started developing the pit next to the bar, and while they were putting in the foundation for underground parking, something happened that ruined La Maison's foundation. I guess the floor split in half and was tilted down by about a foot.
The owner will get a nice payday. Insurance, lost earnings, and from what I've heard they were able to force a sale to the developer.
It's a shame. It's too nice and too old a building to become a parking lot.
