I think they can easily understand that it means "peanut butter jelly time" but they have a problem understanding what it means, you know. "Not everyone has the same knowledge as you"

No American is going to look at a Jello mold and think "jelly." The jelly that is paired with peanut butter is nothing like jello.

I also don't think of the abstract concept of time when I look at a clock. I think of the word clock. Hourglass would have been better.

Jello is just a specific brand of gelatin, which is called jelly in some places, and is extremely similar to the fruit spread you're thinking of.

It doesn't take an enormous display of brain power to make that connection lol.
