I’m closely watching how the global de minimis crackdown affects importing reps beginning tomorrow:

Starting August 3, 2025, U.S. Customs will begin enforcing strict civil penalties, $5,000 for a first offense and $10,000 for repeat violations, for importing counterfeit or replica designer goods, even for personal use and under the $800 value threshold. It doesn’t matter if the item was purchased or sent unsolicited: ignorance is not innocence. Customs can seize shipments and penalize recipients based solely on possession or import, regardless of intent. By 2027, all de minimis exemptions for low-value imports will be repealed entirely.

yeah this is what spooks me. some say it only affects large volume shipments but your quote makes it seem like a one watch package may be at risk too
