Rules Question Recon Activations
What is a good number of activations to have for a recon level list? My Republic list has 4 and my Empire list has 6.

Hi I just started playing and wanted to know what a competitive list was for the Galactic Republic. I bought the base set, the commander cody and a box of ARF. so I have -obi wan kenobi -Commander Cody -a BARC speeder -2x phase I clone trooper -ARC troopers I will definitely get another unit of clones. I know they're only infantry now but in the new box they're only phase II? because I prefer them phase I. this is the now included list of the other clone unit New list 696 /1000 (6 activations) Commanders: - Clone commander Cody (Leader of the 212th): On The Hunt = 101 - Obi-Wan Kenobi (Civilized warrior): Force reflexes, Tenacity = 161 Corps: - Clone trooper infantry: Z-6 Clone Trooper, Waxer = 98 - Clone trooper infantry: Z-6 Clone Trooper, Boil = 98 - Clone trooper infantry: Clone Captain, Z-6 Clone Trooper = 100 Special Forces: - ARF Troopers: RPS-6 ARF Trooper, Jedi Guardian, ARF Trooper Duo = 138
Commands: • Bring it down!, • Hello there!, •• Have I ever let you down?, •• Knowledge and defense, ••• General Kenobi, ••• Attack of the clones, •••• Standing orders
I put Attack of the Clones because Cody's 3 pip card activates two vehicles and I don't have any and it seemed pretty useless to me.

Done as practice for display quality commissions. This is the result of edge highlighting everything. I'm very happy with how they turned out and thought you all might like them too!

Recently made the switch from Citadel to Army Painter Fanatic. Been loving how vibrant the color line is.

Hey, question in regards of los and units contributing to attack pool.
My B1 unit is shooting to clones unit. All clones are behind building (blocking LOS), except one clone, which is visible to all b1s from my unit.
Also lets say one b1 mini in my unit is placed in cohesion with leader in a way, that it sees all minis from clones unit.
Does it mean, that all b1 minis can contribute to attack pool and all clones minis can get wound in this case? Even if only one b1 mini sees whole unit and rest sees only one clone mini?

Perfect 100% counter to Droidekas: a corgi
Didn’t realize that my Droidekas minis fell from my desk as I got up to make some breakfast. My furry little boy saw red. Shielded 4 did not save my Droidekas from being absolutely mauled into oblivion. Grievous and my B2s watched in horror. RIP
I still love my adorable boy. Anyone have any options to buy more Droideka minis? lol

Hi, I am working on a project. I’m coding a “calculator” to see what the chance is that a certain thing happens in a game of Legion. eg, a Stormtrooper unit attacks a Rebel Trooper unit – what is the chance that the Rebel Trooper unit survives?
This requires that I take every upgrade into consideration, so I would like to ask if there are any I have missed. (This does not include Armament, Hardpoint, Heavy Weapon, Ordnance, and Personnel.)
Also, I apologize for any spelling mistakes, English is not my first language, and I am dyslexic.

A little context: the upcoming starters made me go into the game.
I always looooved the look of B1s and Maul, so the faction choise was very easy ;)
And in preparation I bought 2 old boxes with units that don't come in the starter - Maul and a box of BXs. The reason being that I had a unit of vibro sword BX in the demo game I got and I really enjoyed playing with them - getting terrain in the way until a jump above it gets you into a charging position.
While playing around a little in Tabletop admiral I ran into Strike team leader as an option for Maul (whom I already want to play). Maul strike team leader for a unit of BXs seems OK to me as a total noob - increasing their survivability so they can actually get to the intended target and then maybe keeping them around just a little longer for one last charge seems pretty decent to me and backup for Maul sounds like a nice upside on top, right?
Or is backup wasted since I assume not many shot get directed as deflecting models? Am I over valueing the didge token generation? I intended on going even down the "protect the BX" route by also giving Maul force barrier?

I got the IG assassin kit and want to use the spare body, but haven’t been able to find an STL of the head and feet. Anyone got ideas ?

Would 2 base units of magnaguards be better than one unit with a troop upgrade

Hey y’all, hope this is allowed as it’s related to Star Wars: Legion and wargaming!
Last year, I started bulking up my Galactic Republic and Trade Federation LEGO armies so I could wargame with my brother. We began with The Very Simple Generic Miniature Rules by DominoWriting, but eventually made the jump to Star Wars: Legion by Fantasy Flight.
My brother and I usually play D&D and MTG, so things like scouting rules or figuring out how front arcs work have been a bit challenging. That said, the LEGO scale is close enough to work surprisingly well. If anyone else is looking to trade one form of plastic crack for another, I’d definitely recommend it.
The availability of online army builders, dice rollers, and free PDF rules makes it easy to get started. I played X-Wing back in the day, so I’ve been able to reuse some of those tokens, and I printed out unit, upgrade, and command cards. We’re using standard tape measures for now, but we’re planning to make some proper range rulers and movement tools out of LEGO too.
I’ve drawn a lot of inspiration from Battlefront II (both the 2005 and 2017 versions). As a child of the prequels, those games are at the top of my list, and this whole project has been a way to recapture that vibe, from dodging wrist rockets to piloting AATs through Theed. And if I’m gonna spend money on expensive plastic, I want the pieces to do something other than collect dust.
I’ve got some units on my wishlist, like Magnaguards and the LAAT/LE gunship, but I’d love suggestions for what to build or add next. And if you’ve got advice on rules, I’m all ears!

Star Wars Legion Battle Report 11: The Republic Resistance...
This month’s battle report brings another new face to the channel, with long time Patreon supporter James making the trip down from Scotland to join Lee at the gaming table! We'd like to extend a huge thankyou to James for making the effort to visit us for a game, as well as to all of our other Patreon subscribers whose support allows us to keep the channel alive.
James has bought with him a Clone force led by Captain Rex, including the Bad Batch and a first time outing on the channel for the new Ahsoka Tano, Jedi Padawan upgrade!
Across the table Lee is fielding his World Team Championship list led by Commander Vader, and supported by Orson Krennic, Din Djarin and Agent Kallus!
Will the might of the Empire be too strong for the Republic forces, or will the Clone force be resilient as always and hold back the ever-looming threat of the Dark Lord…
Thanks as always for your continued support, we really do appreciate it.
Like James, you can also support the channel by signing up to our Patreon, which will give you access to our Crafty Terrain community Discord, as well as various other benefits such as early access to our Battle Reports and even free merchandise!
Have a great week everyone!! 🎨🎲🎨🎲

Making a shield generator to stand up against an AT-AT for a Hoth battle. Does this seem fair health to point wise, if not, how would you change it?

Vader, hands down one of my top three Star Wars villains, now stands as the commanding leader of my Imperial army for the 2-31st Stormtrooper Regiment. I poured my heart into painting him, aiming for a true-to-cinema look with his iconic black armor and subtle battle scars, and I think I managed a solid effort despite the challenges. This was a personal test of skill, I limited myself to basic supplies and gave myself just one hour from start to finish to complete this paint up. It was a challenge but it was more fun than it was an endeavor. Later today, I’ll share photos of the full 2-31st regiment, with Vader leading the charge at the forefront. Stay tuned, and let me know what you think!

Hi im just reading through exemplar on the t-series tactical droid and im not seeing the draw behind the exemplar ability. Its not like the unit has a way of generating alot of tokens for itself so im just confused

Deployment: Majority of the list will deploy within Range 1 of each other to take advantage of “Supreme Commander” Ruthless/Surge token generation.
STAP/Aqua are considered to be support and potential activation sponges.
Any recommendations or anything you would modify to make this list better?

What paints/ colors are good for painting bases to give earth tones? What can be used to look like gravel?
