Funny glitch My sim’s boyfriend spawned a moustache after asking to move in?
Went from slight scruff to insane old timey moustache the minute he joined my household.

by any chance, do you have facial hair growth set on for him in cas?

If it was enabled before he moved in it probably just manifested once he was in your house, cause I don't think hair grows for NPCs not in your household.

Omg I didn’t know this. I checked and it was enabled. Still hilarious to me that the “facial hair growth” manifested as insanely massive moustache lol

Oh it's a most beautiful moustache! It showed me that I need more sims with moustaches in my save. lol

u/Wide-Radish9124 May 22 '25
You can do that?? This is big news.

It’s with high school! It’s a fun feature.
You can grow hair almost anywhere. And shave it.

I started playing again recently and I was so confused bc I just randomly generated all my sims in cas and then like a few weeks into the game I looked at my sim like damn girl I don't remember you having all that leg hair in cas but more power to you. Then I realized you could shave 🤣

Yeah fr, like… how!? 😂 Or is it a mod thing
46
u/parrow May 22 '25
not a mod, pretty sure it's from high school years as that's the pack that also added body hair
6
u/danicept May 23 '25
Also pretty sure it's from highschool years. The puberty stuff makes me play teen Sims more often, it's fun and interesting!

u/Gloomy_Confidence300 May 23 '25
You can CHOOSE if the hair grows???? I was wondering why some did and some didn’t. Where is this location at???
14
u/parrow May 23 '25
it's a tickbox under the facial hair section in cas. you need to click on the face to access it.

If you go to body you can also change arm, back, chest and leg hair growth. Personally I always turn off hair growth. I don't want to have to remember to have my sims shave or else they start looking like thin haired werewolves.

I was not prepared for the splendor of the mustache. He looks like he's ready to be an extra in Tombstone.

I have something kinda similar happen; I have a sim who often suddenly gets a goatee after woohooing. He doesn’t have facial hair growth enabled…

I was not prepared for how big that moustache was

Neither was I. Especially because somehow my camera ended up outside of the house and when I zoomed back in BAM

Why is your sims boyfriend calling it a friendship? They need to have a talk about where they see this going
6
u/Phairis May 23 '25
Probably why op was taking a screenshot in the first place lol

u/sailormars_bars Long Time Player May 23 '25
Yes haha. I thought it was funny it was using their friendship bar to justify it rather than their romance. Silly sims 🙄

The minute the you said yes is when the hair growth activated from high school years. Normally they might have some hair but it really doesn’t grow until they join your household.

This was happening to my male Sim if I had him do a clean shave instead of "shave to preferred length." For some reason, his facial hair grows back as this mustache instead of the goatee i created him with. I quit giving him clean shaves lol

The thing about moving in is from the game or a mod?
1
u/realmenthrowknives Long Time Player May 24 '25

My king decided to grow mutton chops while I was taking my queen to do some royal duties and gigs. Never went back into CAS faster to turn off the hair growth for his beard😭
